  1. Let's argue about Megadeth. Rust > System Has failed > The World Needs a Hero >Peace Sells > The rest Lets argue about Slayer too. Reign In Blood > Seasons > God Hates Us All > South Of Heaven > Rest I like EVERYTHING by Metallica, and whilst I have a shitload of Anthrax tracks, I don't actually know what albums they are all on so I have no idea
  2. Ugh. My four favourite bands. I went for Metallica...purely cus they have more mellow stuff in Load and Reload, so I can still listen to them when i dont feel like thrash.
  3. I am celebrating that day. Yes. Slayer are better than you.
  4. Is it me...or are half the bands on those lists not actually metal? :S
  5. I got the link last night, but rapidshare is gash and wont let me download it. So erm...can anyone help me out? EDIT: Thanks RVD (Y)
  6. Oddly enough, my favourite track on it is the Fightstar one..and I fucking hate fightstar. The only track i dislike is Bullets, and I'm not too sure about FFAF's yet either.
  7. Download has loads of shitty kerrang bands and is still a bagillion times better than Reading. Go figure.
  8. Anthrax. Belladona era only. If you have mates that know the words...trying to mimic his voice whilst wankered is a lot of fun. I suppose it could work with Maiden too, but I have yet to try that.
  9. It's clever and well-made, but at the same time really disturbing. Personally speaking, I would just rent it.
  10. So yeh...sales are on again, and there arent really any films I have down as must see's...however a few films have caught my eye, and I was wondering if they were any good...any comments appreciated. Baseketball: Yes its Matt and Trey, yes south park is fucking awesome, however, soundtrack aside, I have never heard about this...so...is it as good as the rest of their stuff? Memento: Just...sounds cool. St. Elmos Fire: Saw the breakfast club when it was on tele a few saturdays back...this anywhere near as cool? House of Flying Daggers: Was reccomended this by a mate a few months back...I am a fan of asian cinema, but its apparent mainstreamness astounds me. Virgin Suicides: I cannot decide whether this is a film for angsty teenagers or women. Please tell me which category it falls under. Being John Malkovich: Reccomended by my Film tutor, who has got me into some really awesome stuff...however he also likes bland French black and white films...so his taste is hit and miss. Napoleon Dynamite: Yeh...heard very mixed reviews about this one, and its pg rating suggests its for kids... I'm sure there's more...might edit them in later if i can remember them. Oh and if you know of any other films that are going cheap in sales (in the UK) reccomend away.
  11. As far as writing solos goes...jason newstead. Widely considered Metallicas worse bassist in terms of actual talent, however his slower solos/riffs mesmerised me, the slow progression between strings with each note never fails to impress me, and while I realise he's not the only person to ever do this, I have yet to hear someone do it in the way Newstead does/did (having not heard any of his music since he left Tallica) When it comes to writing other parts on bass, then my last bass teacher. I had a few teachers before him, none of them inspired me that much, and I was considering hanging the ol' four stringer up. Then about 2 years ago the school I went to got a new teacher, and wow was he good. He'd crack out the best slap bass I'd ever heard (having not been hugely into music at that point) That guy really inspired me to practise at least half an hour a day, and every week he'd have a new blues scale, or walking bassline for me to learn, and i lapped them all up. They were all from various jazz/blues compositions, but unfortunately I cant get into any of it, as bassing aside it makes my ears bleed. In terms of getting into music *whispers* Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit in year 7* then as I got into year 9, I got turned on to real metal like *whispers even quieter* Good Charlotte, New Found Glory and Bowling For Soup* It wasnt really until 2004 that I started getting into what I listen to now, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth, Machine Head etc. /rant
  12. Dynasty Warriors is awesome. Its the same thing all the way through, but oddly enough i dont find it too repetetive. Fighting hundreds of warriors at once as a fat man with a poo stick > *
  13. Alice in chains at download? Yes please. This years event is really shaping up to be sextabulous. Especially with To My Surprise playing "IM IN TEH MOOOOOD TOOOOO
  14. Yeh like, first and foremost, if anyone has Street Fighter 2 on vhs, could they kindly tell me the name of the song on the very first advert? sounds like a lot of palm muted guitaring then random "ugggggggh"'s. It just sounds bitchin to me. Second, and more serious question. Can someone reccomend me some anime? I have seen sweet FA, bar the aforementioned film. Im a 16 year old male...so I dont want any crappy love hina shit...just good, violent stuff. ANd yeh...I really have next to no experience with it, but am looking to build a pretty decent collection with as little money as possible. I live in the uk, and unfortunately ordering with a credit card over the internet isnt an option But yeh....I know the more popular ones are like Akira...and Ninja Scroll....and Ghost in the Shell. Yet i dont know if any of them are any good...so yeh, reccomend like...one last point, I'd prefer actual films over like...tv series or whatever. Final point....cus Im watching the film...Street Fighter is the fucking shit. I want to be a kid again and practise the moves in my garden with my friends Why doesnt it have any good fan sites >.<
  15. I could kiss you for that  I could kiss you for putting me in your sig  But seriously...I was out with mates earlier and they hadnt heard about Guns playing...and they were all "oh its not Guns N Roses anymore" Not taking anything away from Slash or Duff or any of the others...but no one complains about Sabbaths thousand different line ups...or Megadeths...or Ac/Dc or anyone else. Guns and Roses hateage =
  16. Any one have any idea what the cost will be when it comes out in the UK?
  17. Pearl Jam at Reading would make me cry. I love Pearl Jam, and unless someone opens up a charity for me I wont be able to go.
