Sounds good. I've been keeping an eye cast over this thread since it started up but a rather dense decision to sell my last 360 has prevented me from getting involved. New job means new money though, which means I finally have a 360 again. Looking forward to getting involved. Online Madden is ever joyful for me. Many a time have I been accused of 'a fake British accent' when winning games! =) EDIT: I realized this makes it seem as if I'm insuating that I'm good at the game. I'm not. I'm pretty pants. And by pretty I mean really.

When you guys get to a new season is it possible for people to join in? Or will you be waiting until Madden '11 is released to start a new online franchise?

Before I left Oz, I went to watch Carlton/Richmond in what was a very fun experience. Apparently as I worked in Richmond, I was meant to follow them but it didn't take me long to realize they're a bit poor. Going to try and keep an eye on the AFL this year though I don't think we get coverage in England, will try and get some online coverage.

I'm going to Winchester tomorrow for the Berkshire Renegades and Hampshire Thrashers american football game in the National Second Division. Sure, I'm playing, but I still count it. Last game of the season, should be a good one.

I'd argue that. Newcastle arrived in the Premiership during it's second year and immediately finished third in the league. The following year they finished sixth before challenging for the title two years in a row. After that we also qualified for the Champion's League another three times. Whilst we have been in the shit before this is the first season we've really looked like going down and will be the first time in sixteen years we haven't been in the Premiership. I'd say after spending 16 out of 17 seasons in the Premiership, that we are most definately a Premiership club. We may not have won anything but until the last five years or so (since the rise of Chelsea) years we were always a team that could pop up in that top four and it wasn't that much of a shock. Either way, we'll most likely be a Championship club next year so this whole argument is pointless.

Just got the game and I'm about the most damn evil person going. It all started when I killed Officer Gomez (by accident) and snow-balled. Oh well, good so far. I think I rushed into the game too much though, going to start again and explore a bit first.

Bradley Wright Phillips and some other dude from the Saints are being prosecuted for something right now. Either assault or theft. I can't remember. Though, as I'm sure they have enough money, maybe they were trying to steal some dignity? Shitty Saints. >_>

The great thing about this is my head coach at the Berkshire Renegades is the head coach at OXford, so no doubt he'll be trying to get him to play for a year. >_><

FM08 on XBox is horrible. As is every FM game on XBox. Then said, if you enjoyed 07 you'll probably enjoy the pile of crap that is 08.

Wow. Playing as Bournemouth in Manager Mode, on Legendary in my first season. I was getting some good results 2-0, 3-0 and so forth. The suddenly I destroy Maccesfield 7-1, on Legendary. Greatest. Game. Ever.

I think the story telling element of Frank Turner's music is where he excels. You don't have to write poetry for lyrics, the words don't need to be flowery and so forth. He does use somewhat simple phrases but strings them together to provide a very good, solid story. His songs will follow the pattern of beginning/middle/end in most cases and will get you emotionally involved. He isn't the greatest lyricist ever, nor will he ever be, but he is a very good story teller.

'You said I let you down and fucked around, when I was only having fun'. You can have the greatest relationship with your old man in the world, but at some point in your life that above line would have been appopriate for just about everybody and I think that is where Frank Turner excels, in writing lyrics that openly appeal to everyone whether it be something like that or Thatcher Fucked the Kids, which is so true to British culture these days and an incredible insight on our society that not many people are capable of making.

Yeah, well, that's what I get for not reading the other posts first. And Long Live the Queen, for me, doesn't come across as insincere at all. Now I don't know what the song is about, but it certainly feels to me as if it's about a friend of his that died and not something he made up for the benefit of the song. Either way, I it. EDIT: When I say I don't know what the song is about, I mean I don't know whether it's based on true events. I'm not retarded. Well, that retarded.

Father's Day and Long Live the Queen, both by Frank Turner. Both are incredible songs, with deep meanings beneath them. I'd advise EVERYBODY check these two songs out, at least, as well as his Thatcher Fucked the Kids song. I think anybody in Britain will get a kick out of that one. For those of you who don't know he is, he's the former leadman for Million Dead, although he now performs folk instead of post-hardcore/punk or whatever the fuck it was Million Dead actually were.

Is anybody else getting some randomly amazing results? I was playing as Man City, winning most games 1-0 (on world class), few draws and two losses in about fifteen games. Then from out of no where I slaughtered West Ham 6-0, Sergio Augero got four. I marked. >_<

Yeah, Trips just beat me. Though I think my choice of Cage match may have hurt my chances. =( I had him red head and body, but he pulled me down from my escape and got away himself.
