  1. In Bears o-line news Lance Louis is ill, therefore out, and Garza has been moved back to right guard while Spencer will be put in at center. It's a step in the right direction at least.
  2. Just pre-ordered Xenoblade Chronicles which makes it the first game on the Wii I've pre-ordered since Mario Kart. Let's see if Nintendo can win me over a little after their recent failures.
  3. Who actually decides where to slot each player into the o-line? Whoever it is has put their personnel in ass backwards. Switch Webb and Carimi around, move Garza back to right guard, bring Spencer in at center and keep Williams at left guard. Can't be worse than giving up NINE fucking sacks against the Bills. Mike Tice is the O-Line coach. Heralded as the fixer of all their woes last year, he's done precisely dick all other than play guys out of position and fail to install any real protection schemes. They just need time to play together and gel. After another season or two and they'll only be giving up five sacks a game...and Jay Cutler will be crippled.

  5. http://spoonyexperiment.com/2011/07/10/final-fantasy-x-2-review-part-1/ http://spoonyexperiment.com/2011/07/21/final-fantasy-x-2-review-%e2%80%93-part-2/ Already seen and commented on them. Even Spoony admits the game is likeable in an odd kind of way. Plus you've got to remember his whole schtick is raging on games/movies.
  6. I thought X-2 was okay. I went in with low expectations though and I knew it wasn't going to be a "traditional" Final Fantasy game.
  7. I used to be into football (soccer) in a major way. If I wasn't playing it then I was watching it or reading about it. Now it bores the bejesus out of me. In general I'm a lot less interested in sports that I used to be. I think part of the appeal when I was younger was "someday this could be me" but now I'm 24 I know that's not the case. I still follow sports (mainly NFL, cricket and Formula 1) but NFL is the only sport I would consider myself to be "passionate" about. On that note... BEAR DOWN!
  8. That's another problem I forgot to mention. With the reports of people feeling sick after playing people will want to play on the 3DS before buying it. It's not like any other console where you'd be willing to buy it online without playing on it first.
  9. I think there's three main reasons why the 3DS isn't selling well so far. The first is the price, the second is the lack of games and the third is poor marketing. Many people think the 3DS is just a DS with a 3D gimmick, they don't realize that the graphics have actually been updated. Plus it's hard to advertise a 3D games console well when most people don't have a 3D TV.
  10. Jason La Canfora is reporting that Seattle are also expected to sign Leinart. http://blogs.nfl.com/2011/07/26/seahawks-out-on-kolb-but-in-on-jackson-leinart/
  11. I've never been happier to have three friends.
  12. I'd got to Gran Pulse when my game data got corrupted. It'll be a long time before I muster the motivation to start the game again.
  13. Rogue Galaxy for the PS2 was a fun RPG that I never hear anyone talk about. You play a SPACE PIRATE~! for goodness sakes!
  14. Ugh my PS3 HD has gone all corrupted on me. I've gone through the whole "PS3 Hard Disk Is Corrupt And Will Be Restored" about a dozen times and it hasn't worked. Is there another way to fix it or do I have to ship it back to Sony?
  15. Nice idea. I've just donated a fiver.
  16. I didn't like GTA IV either but I'm near the end of L.A. Noire and so far I've found it to be a very enjoyable game. The controls don't feel as heavy as they do in GTA IV and I wouldn't say the game is like Heavy Rain at all really. L.A. Noire is more investigate and interrogate rather than a constant string of car chases and gunfights.
  17. I mainly play RPGs so most of my complaints are about that genre. Games that don't know that the story should have ended earlier. Any game that pretty much forces you to use a walkthrough to complete a section of the game or sidequest. This one's been said before but not being able to skip cutscenes sucks. At the same time though it should be a case of pressing start and then a button rather than just one button where you can accidently skip a cutscene. Games where you often have a gap of about an hour in between save points. Overly long FMV/talking sequences...this is mainly Square Enix made RPGs. I enjoyed Star Ocean for the PS3 but on at least three occasions you are left just watching the screen for thirty minutes or more. I want a game, not an anime series! Every RPG game I seem to play has a section where you're in a cave/sewer/dungeon where everything looks the same and you're constantly bombarded with fights to the point where you can't remember which way you were headed and which way you've been. Coincidentally this if often the section where I lose interest in a game and never play it again. RPGs where you get the 'game over' screen when the main character/party leader dies...even though there's still other party members alive who could toss them a healing item or cast a life spell. Poorly designed menus. I was just playing Madden 11 and at the end of the game a menu pops up allowing you to look at game stats and such like. When you go to quit the first option that actually pops up is 'restart game' meaning if you accidently click that then you've just wasted thirty minutes of your time and have to play the game over. Basically I don't like anything where I feel like my time is being wasted.

    South Park

The third episode of the season was great, as is tradition.
  19. I ordered a PS3 today partly because of how awesome this game looks.
  20. "I'm on a quest to claim absolute victory on every front." Look up winning in the dictionary and the definition says "See Charlie Sheen".
  21. Big Ben: He only pump fakes on the field.
