  1. This is actually amazing. Even more amazing is that if England win, it'll be played as some epic comeback against a bunch of world beaters.
  2. Gunnarson has been taking throw-in lesson from Rory Delap.
  3. Is this Rooney's first goal in a tournament in 12 years? Jesus. Also lol england.
  4. I really don't like both these teams but I really don't like Italy because I feel like every tournament every other asshole finds some tangible link to Italy and decided to root for them.
  5. Go away Portugal, no one likes you.
  6. It's crazy how insecure Ronaldo is. Like, he's arguably the best or second best player in the world and yet everything he does reeks of someone who's trying to prove how good he is, from his mannerisms to the way he acts off-pitch, it's like one long elaborate ploy to make people think he's great, which is weird because people have eyes and can tell that he's great. Basically, he should stop acting like Nicklas Bendtner and be a little less pathetic.
  7. I'm glad the big teams are all gonna play each other, more of a chance if a shock win.
  8. Big reason Roy Hogdson is a terrible coach is that he does not adapt his tactics to his players's strength. England have a terrible central defence and a bucketload of players that can score goals for the first time since 2004 and he chooses to play some weird defensive minded game that makes absolutely no sense. There's a reason England's best game was again Wales, it's because they had to chase a result and once that happened they went on the offence and scored goals.
  9. England would be better than Wales if their mentality for each game was not let's do the least amount of offence possible and hope for the best.
  10. It also probably has to do with the fact we haven't really had a big team play a big team yet and that big team vs small team is always gonna lead to an extra defensive performance from the small team. Granted Italy/Belgium are big teams but Italians defend in all circumstances
  11. There's been a serious debate about Pogba's form in the French team in France and I really think this is Deschamps telling him not to fuck up.
  12. I'd probably be doing better if Iceland didn't have such a small team mentality.
  13. Right, except the entire match consisted of Portugal going right through the exact same attack, crosses, crosses, crosses, non-stop, and hoping what hadn't worked before would actually work now. Their goal literally happened because Iceland were caught napping once and that was that. The truth is that unless you legitimately have a team full of world-beaters like Spain in 2008-2012, you will not always win matches by doing the same thing over and over. That's a big reason why Germany won the last world cup, when Jogi Low would see something wasn't working, he'd tweak the team and they'd score.
  14. The Animal Kingdom TV show is pretty cool.
  15. Instead of complaining about Iceland, Portugal should look at their own repetitive and useless tactics.
  16. Never been happier to be eliminated, Iceland are nice.
  17. I have always loved how Gabor Kiraly wears sweatpants and not shorts. Wonderful, wonderful.
  18. For those of use that loved American Crime Story, ESPN's got a documentary called OJ Simpson: Made in America that's just fucking amazing.
  19. I guess this is the difference between a group of talented individuals playing against players that play as a unit.
  20. This was a classic Roy Hodgson-era performance. England play really well minus one or two player, create a lot of chances and then don't win. Maybe their luck will turn eventually because this is really a matter of luck at this point.
  21. You can't possibly be serious.
  22. Wayne Rooney is inexistent. I had to double check to see if he was playing.
