  1. Looking at the Golden Globes and GoGo's list, is it me or was this a really average year for movies? I've pretty much seen everything and blah. Aside from Creed but that's because I'm a Rocky fanboy.
  2. First sign of the apocalypse: a non boring Man Utd match. Second sign of the apocalypse: oh my god Villa won a match, maybe heckling footballers works?
  3. I finished This is England '90. I've loved the movie and the three series but this was so maddeningly depressing and harrowing and haunting and I feel like it's been present in my life for ten years so in a way I'm glad it's over and I never have to watch any of it ever again Still, Stephen Graham is amazing as always and it's an great piece of art altogether. Great world that Shane Meadows created.
  4. Saivet was a 20 goal a season striker for me on FM09, as well as France's top scorer when they won the World Cup therefore he is a striker sorry.
  5. I remember when this dude was a god on FM like in 2009 or something. Memories!
  6. So apparently Benitez is gone and Zidane has taken over Real. I'm interested to see if one of the best players of his generation makes a good coach or if he's gone by the end of the year.
  7. Villa are really sinking to Derby 07/08 levels of shit here.
  8. I think "Shaquiri's chips don't lie" is perhaps the best pun I've seen all year.
  9. 1. Mad Men 2. Bojack Horseman 3. Better Call Saul 4. Mr Robot 5. Rectify 6. Veep 7. Justified 8. Hannibal 9. Leftovers 10. Last Week Tonight With John Oliver 11. You're the Worst 12. Fresh Off The Boat 13. unREAL 14. The Good Wife 15. The Man in the High Castle I'm starting Fargo and The Americans S3 in the next few days, I feel like they would be up in there but oh well.
  10. I think my favorite was Vardy to Chelsea. He will surely solve all your problems.
  11. The future in Back to the Future Part II, which I guess is modern day, but it'll always be the future to me, damn it.
  12. Stoker, how much of Chelsea being awful is down to the players? Has the fact that Courtois has been injured changed anything?
  13. I wonder if Chelsea are going to follow on their trend of bringing back an old manager by bringing back Ancelotti, he was much nicer, likeable and pleasant! He will make very good PR!
  14. In some ways it feels like the story of my life!
  15. I don't think it's a coincidence that Lineker decides not to go to a game and that we're winning.
  16. Martial aside, so far I have seen the Son is shining, which I approve of.
  17. Costa is good at what he does. He's like your classic chicken shit heel. Of course it makes it better that Chelsea have had a bad start to the season because it's also great when the heel gets what's coming to him.
  18. There are some really awful puns out there, from the obligatory Mourinho's blues, to Martial s arts and Daley Bread or whatever nonsense, Myke get to work.
  19. I blame the lack of Spurs transfer activity on you Lineker, make something happen.
  20. Maybe I should follow your lead and root for several teams so the likelihood of a happy weekend always increases?
  21. I'm amused by the whole Pedro thing because his whole argument in wanting to leave Barca was that he didn't want to sit on the bench anymore, therefore: A/ Pedro is either delusional or swindled into thinking he's going to start for Chelsea B/ Pedro is being an astronomical amount of money to sit on the bench at Chelsea, in what may be one of those early Abramovich-era Chelsea moves where they just buy a player to keep a rival from getting him. C/ Pedro is a liar. D/ All of the above.
  22. The Mueller rumours were always funny to me because the dude plays like Rooney and in the same position as Rooney. I mean he's better than Rooney at this point but I still don't see Rooney going anywhere.
  23. Of more interest to Jimmy would probably be that the show is written by David Simon of the Wire.
