  1. If anything, Spurs cracked under pressure. They were playing as if they knew the FIFA game was a cheating bastard and they had no real hope of beating West Brom.
  2. It's the sort of thing that tends to happen though, wildly inconsistent Manchester United team face newly relegated Villa who on paper have absolutely nothing to play for and boom, they steal points out of nowhere. And lets face it, Leicester and Spurs are fighting for the league title, Liverpool and Chelsea are underperforming by a hideous amount and West Ham are top 4 contenders, it's really not out of the realm of possibility for Villa to start winning when the goose is cooked.
  3. Man United will beat Spurs, it's one of those games where you can almost guarantee it. It'll all be for nothing because Man United will then go on to draw/lose against Villa at home.
  4. I guess the Liverpool players decided to stop playing after 77 minutes in unity.
  5. It's funny, I remember a lot of neutrals wanted Liverpool to win it up until Liverpool were on top with a points advantage and being obnoxious dickheads about winning the league, at which point it was incredibly satisfying to see them crash and burn.
  6. Rooney may be less effective than a butter knife made of dogshit, but you can guarantee he'll be starting every match England has this Euros.
  7. Stoke have signed Kagawa EDIT: actually it's fake, nevermind.
  8. It seemed like such a nice concept when it was first floated around... back in like 2004. But nice to see they've actually started work on arenas, with any luck it could be finished before we're all dead.
  9. Speaking of bad wrestling games, did Pro Wrestling X ever get made in the end?
  10. Biased panels are great, it makes it all the more satisfying when their team loses and they lose their shit over a delayed free kick or a foul throw and not their team playing like shit for 85 minutes.
  11. Freeview and online streaming from wherever I can find. So £0 a month if I exclude the TV license fee. And the funny thing is, if I could just buy Sky Sports without all the other shit I'd just have that, but nope, I'd have to pay the 600+ channels I'll never use tax.
  12. I like how with every passing week, Ryan Giggs becomes a better football manager for doing nothing but sit on the sidelines.
  13. That's a shittier source than the kid from school who said his dad owned Nintendo.
  14. The biggest flaw that seems to be ever present in Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United is that they've spent so much on wages for their first team that it becomes nearly impossible to budget for a solid, bench player to fill a gap in their squads when they'll cost £7m at the bare minimum and attract wages of around £50k p/w minimum, which under a regular, four year contract would cost the club £17-25m. For ONE player. So they spend more on their academies and produce technically great players that don't have the experience to change a game when it matters, while other clubs are buying 'dead weight' from these top clubs who flourish under different systems. The bigger clubs have got themselves trapped in a scenario where they're very 'rich' but not cash rich, and because they've neglected problems like this for years they've basically got the old Milan problem of needing to keep players well past their best because there's nobody younger, and good enough to replace them. Then when the best players start to significantly decline (Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand, Lampard, Terry, Gerrard, Carragher) they don't know what to do because it wasn't a problem they had to deal with until it was too late.
  15. It's almost as if the exact same team that Rodgers had got over it's new manager honeymoon period.
  16. It saddens me that soon Leicester will be ripped apart in the transfer window and they'll have to make do with washed up hasbeens as replacements like Eden Hazard.
  17. Honestly, the only negative point I have with the game is that it's fiddly to play solely on the tablet because you have to tap an invisible 'button' on screen to switch to the map and it doesn't pause the game so you can still move about even though you can't see what you're doing. I guess the combat is a bit strange to anyone who hasn't played Xenoblade before, but once you get to level 10 of the drifter rank you can choose which skill set you want to have, and switching from combat knife and assault rifle to LONGSWORD and assault rifle drastically improved my fun during combat. It takes a little while for the game to open up mind, I just finished Chapter 4 and now I'm just ignoring the main storyline and going out to do mini fetch quests and explore territory and exploring New Los Angeles. Another thing to point out is that you need to install data probes in order to fast travel to those locations, instead of the Xenoblade Chronicles method of discovering a landmark and instantly being able to fast travel to it, which is a little backtracky but feels so much more rewarding when you finally get sneak past some monsters 20 levels stronger than you to plant a fast travel probe. Overall I'm really impressed, I've barely scratched the surface but there's so much to explore and discover. It's been a long time since I played a game where I was disappointed to have to stop playing, it just seems designed for 'one more quest' or 'just a little further' and I'm constantly blown away by how much is going on on screen.
  18. Xenoblade X is absolutely phenomenal. Sure it's taken a while to get past the forced story bits at the start, but now the game has opened up and I've gotten used to the Xenoblade controls again it feels just like exploring a magical new world. At first I was a little disappointed by the graphics but the draw distance is out of this world and there's so much going on in the world around you with the whole landscape being densely occupied by weird creatures, instead of a few animals popping in every now and again.
  19. I miss cheats in video games. I hate that they disappeared the second that 'achievements' became a thing. Give me god mode, give me debug tools, allow me to spawn as many enemies that I can fit on screen and allow me to go nuts.
  20. To be fair, it's complete bullshit that 2k have managed to break title changes between games. It's those little downgrades in between games that stack up over time and disrupt the overall game's experience. The reaction is more likely down to the fear that 2K are just going to be like THQ with the two steps forward, one step back approach instead of building on their previous work and producing an incrementally better game per year. Given that they most likely won't patch this at all, it's irritating that a game has released with a little problem that will never be fixed. There's also the flip side of this game has just been released, who knows if they've sneakily downgraded other things until more people play it and test for themselves. I mean, lets just look at the past few WWE games: WWE '13 had the 2 count glitch, WWE 2K14 had the universe storylines glitch, WWE 2K15 had a joke of a career mode with limited match types available. WWE 2K16 has already left a sour taste in some fans mouths by not including the NXT women, but with every little glitch (or "feature" as Yukes talked about the 2 count bug) the step forward becomes less and less to the point where some people might just skip it and keep their older game.
  21. I don't think I've seen a bigger meltdown by a manager in football, I genuinely think he would have assaulted the referee if he'd made his way into his room.
  22. Foetus - Descent Into The Inferno. I get the feeling it's only so high up there because I used Foetus' Nail album as a makeshift soundtrack to Binding of Isaac: Rebirth considering it's original soundtrack was absolutely terrible.
