  1. In other news, some fucking weeb decided to make a disgusting game that is being given nothing but praise across reddit and youtube. Can't wait to see it banned like it definitely should be.
  2. Sing to God by Cardiacs Granted, if you're aware of the Cardiacs this probably isn't underrated, but this album is far too interesting and bizarre to go under the radar without at least one listen. Every time I go to describe it I end up going into long paragraphs because it's absolutely insane so instead here's a track from the album about being romantically attracted to Lassie the dog so the protagonist decides to roll around in the mud like a horse until insects start appearing on his hands and Lassie notices him through the TV screen.
  3. Imagine if they scanned Sasha and Bayley etc. so that when you win the NXT title in career mode the whole roster comes out and claps.
  4. My hype for Yooka-Laylee fizzled away the second they hit the 'dlc' tier of their kickstarter goal. It might be fun but expecting a classic RARE title from developers who will likely be working from a brand new engine is just asking for trouble. At best I'm expecting something as good as Brutal Legend but it's going to be hard to make a spectacular game when it's being spread so thin across so many platforms. In other news Prison Architect finally released today and the improvements are great.
  5. I am both shocked and appalled that Katamari Damacy isn't a poll choice.
  6. At this rate, if Klopp waits a fortnight or so he'll have the Chelsea job.
  7. Fans crying on youtube will never not be funny. Granted, if their club is being liquidated and they've lost a part of their childhood I can semi understand it, but making out like a 3-2 loss is worse than your parents dying is something else.
  8. Holy shit, I knew League was terrible but I had no idea it was that terrible. You mean to say that the only way to possibly have fun in that game is to grind with bots for 400 hours until you're considered 'worthy' enough to game with real people? At which point you have to perform at 100% per match otherwise you'll be reported for being a bad player? Whatever happened to enjoying multiplayer games?
  9. Apparently Tony Hawk's 5 was released ONE day before their license ran out, and may result in the game not having another patch bar the day one patch.
  10. To an outsider who hasn't been paying any attention to the Premier League this season, it's remarkable how Rodgers has lost his job before McLaren, Mourinho or Sherwood.
  11. It's certainly not an overall dealbreaker, but I'm much more likely to wait until Christmas to get it in a sale/see what DLC eventually comes available than buy it on day one.
  12. Of all the things to cut out of the game and release as DLC it's the NXT girls? What? I guess I should have known better after the whole cashgrab they did last year, but this is silly.
  13. I'm so remarkably disappointed in the Nintendo E3 event that I'm tempted to get a PS4 or Xbox One within the next few months. They spend the week before the digital event giving us surprises out of nowhere but when it comes to the actual meat and bones of E3 they decide to give possibly the most underwhelming presentation out of all companies present. Maybe I set my expectations too high because last year was literally "We need to save the Wii U", but this felt like a "We've given up on the Wii U, here's some 3DS stuff whilst we make the new console" On the flip side I've got plenty of games in my backlog so I probably won't be as crushed if they announce a new console, but this feels like owning a 360 in its dying days and realising that all the dlc and purchases I've made throughout the console's lifetime are almost worthless in a year. Granted, that's since been resolved, but that's some major backtracking after "want to play 360 games? buy a 360 lol"
  14. Wait, hang on a second. So downloaded titles aren't compatible? I was under the assumption backward compatibility meant that you could just sign in with your 360 account and get the games you already had.
  15. The problem is that they announced backwards compatibility at the exact same time they announced the RARE collection, nullifying a good portion of the reasons to do backward compatibility. Not that I'm complaining too much, I'm pretty tempted to pick up an Xbox One now and rack the bargain bin for Xbox 360 games that are compatible now. Especially considering that some places are selling the RARE collection for £18.
  16. I don't get it, if it only apparently costs $2m to make Shemue 3 then why didn't Sony or Microsoft just put the cash down for it to keep it an exclusive, that sounds remarkably cheap. What sort of announcement is it to fund the development of a game ourselves?
  17. I get the feeling that they're trying to do a week of announcements with the thing they've just announced being ready to download as soon as the broadcast is over. They did the Smash DlC, now Mother and presumably there'll be something released after the treehouse so something else will probably be released tomorrow.
  18. I'm just interested to see if they're using the Earthbound Zero translation, the Mother 1+2 translation or a brand new translation. Because if it's a new translation for a 26 year old game, then it opens up the possibility of them getting a team to translate Mother 3 officially.
  19. Holy shit MOTHER 1 is finally getting released worldwide! TONIGHT!
  20. I'm hoping for a few old games locked to the 360/PS3 being re-released for PC or at least the current gen. It'd be a shame if games like Red Dead Redemption, the RARE HD games or Lost Odyssey ended up being lost forever, especially with the 360's failure rate and the lack of any sort of last gen emulator. Basically I just want to play Banjo Kazooie again without forking out for another 360. Other than that I'd be happy to see a few surprise Nintendo games and maybe some more Mario Kart track DLC considering the quality of the two packs has been outstanding and have extended the life of the online mode considerably. As for wild predictions I'm going to predict Mario Sunshine 2, a new Chibi Robo game and a new Road Rash game.
  21. Aerospray for turf war, Krakon Roller for ranked, but sometimes I'll switch it up in ranked because I don't really care too much about winning or losing. Also for the record there's been some Smash Bros leaks
  22. After discovering and completing the single player mode, I gotta say that it feels fairly bland and unmemorable for quite a while but the final boss makes up for it and then some. I'm a big fan of bosses can only be beaten by techniques that you've mastered throughout playing the game instead of just wailing on a huge HP bar. Plus finding level locations is pretty fun and there's something really thereputic about filling a whole level with ink. I like how quickly they're adding content to the multiplayer too now, it seems like every two days we get another map or weapon or something. The only problem is that these maps are clearly already on the disk (you don't need to update to play them) so right out of the box Splatoon could have had all this variety without feeling fairly barebones on day one.
  23. Come to think of it, I haven't played a good tower defence game in ages. Any recommendations Quom or does nothing top onslaught played in a browser?
  24. So that Hatred game just got released, anyone picked it up yet?
