  1. Well in fairness it's not like he can do much else BUT play Balotelli in a lone striker position until the January transfer market comes, who else is he going to have up front? Rickie Lambert?
  2. To be fair, GAME is also dying and has as much variety as HMV before they went under. But the really worrying thing is how supermarkets don't seem to be stocking any next gen games at all, bar maybe one or two PS4/One games mixed among their 360/PS3 ranges. Once GAME goes, video game sales will basically be online only in the UK.
  3. and it'll still be better than Pro Wrestling X
  4. Well he's sorta lucky that Arsenal, City and United are also underperforming so despite Liverpool's completely shit start they might even scrape a Champions League place. If they're still that bad by January then he'll be gone.
  5. Looks like master tactician Brendan Rodgers could be out of a job by the end of the season.
  6. I don't get this "I wouldn't have played as them anyway" that's not really the point, it's great to pad out a roster so you can be facing Maven or Ernest Miller even if you had no intention of playing as either of them. It just adds depth if you're able to create jobbers and non-essential characters, what with changing Ambrose and Rollins that already cuts it down to 23 and it's very easy to burn through that once you've got your essential CAWs out of the way. I probably wouldn't have had a problem with this if they didn't give us 100 slots last year, but it just feels weak to severely limit the amount of slots when it's based on hard drive space rather than disk space.
  7. Next gen version confirmed to have only 25 caw slots https://twitter.com/WWEgames/status/527948810605977601
  8. Z2 is pretty dang good. Not so keen on the DTP album but Ziltoid 2 is great fun.
  9. The Bayonetta first print edition came and it's glorious and the box is much bigger than I imagined. Now to listen to the devils and angels on my shoulders and decide whether to flip it immediately for at least £40 profit or open it up and bask in its glory.
  10. Actually the more I think about it they haven't really said that much about the game, they've announced the roster and all that and some details about career mode but we don't even know what match types are in the game or if there's even a CAW mode. I'm a little concerned about the 'surprise' element of everything.
  11. I guess Ridley could be possible, considering the sizes of Olimar, Bowser and Ganondorf over the years, but that would mean pandering to the most insufferable fanbase in Smash history.
  12. The Amiibos sound interesting, I wonder if you could level them up and make them do some of the harder events for you. But I'm not even thinking of touching them until a Ness one is out.
  13. yeah I can imagine this being the nicest way of announcing DLC without a huge backlash. And if they have the same level of content as say Hyrule Warriors or Mario Kart 8 it should be easily worth it. It's just strange to have DLC in a Super Smash Bros game
  14. THEY WENT ALL OUT IT LOOKS LIKE THE GREATEST GAME EVER SHAME ABOUT
  15. yeah I watched the trailer on mute the first time because I was doing something and now I've watched it again you can just disregard everything I said because there's no redeeming that shite.
  16. If I had the money I'd buy a PS4 pretty much just for this game, the more they talk about the core game the more I'm sold on it and accept that the season passes and whatnot are just a cool bonus if you have the cash. I mean they've got pretty much the full roster + a bunch of key NXT guys (except Paige) who will be coming up in the next year or so so it'll be the most up to date game ever, right now the only possible negatives are not being able to store music on the PS4's hard drive to add to created superstars but that's a technical limitation more than anything.
  17. It looks like an edgy game for the sake of being edgy, but I'm actually surprised by the backlash so far. Have hyper realistic character models and responsive AI improved that much that people have developed a stronger moral compass? or is everyone just getting older and getting more wary of their moral responsibility as adults. And what point is the threshold between good taste and too far? Hotline Miami has edgy senseless violence but because of it's graphical style it's passed over, Tomb Raider has horrific looking deaths but they're few and far between and mostly down to pitfall like hazards, Red Dead Redemption had an achievement for tying someone to the train tracks and splatting them, but that's seen more as overdramatic film violence, then there's games like Sleeping Dogs that let you break the legs of a random pedestrian, bundle them into a car and then drive it into the ocean.
  18. But the discussion Liverpool fans are trying to turn it into is Hodgeson is a dinosaur he is LITERALLY PICKING ON PLAYERS FOR REVENGE ON LIVERPOOL How dare he call a tired person tired Completely disregarding that every other player in the England squad doesn't seem to have a problem with how the system works, not even the other Liverpool players in the first team. I mean do you see Man City pulling a shitfit over their first choice goalkeeper having to play an extra 180 minutes across a packed month of fixtures?
  19. Last I heard about demos is that market research says they have a negative impact on sales, but that was information from around 5 years ago so I have no idea if it's changed since.
  20. For fucks sake he was tired so Hodgeson said he was tired and all we've learned from this discussion is that Liverpool fans are the most boring people ever.
  21. Alright, has anyone had any major success in establishing kingdoms without the assassinate button? This just feels like one patch too far, especially after I'd just mastered how to use the assassination button to my advantage.
  22. The whole 'played into the ground' notion is ridiculous, I can't think of a player off the top of my head who just declined through playing hundreds of matches without some muscle injury that caused a breakdown in his ability. The problem is that some players just flat out don't recover well from injuries so it's difficult to see how much would have changed in hindsight when you have guys like Owen Hargreaves who was given the best medical treatment for 4+ years and still barely played.
