  1. Who said anything about Media? Certainly not me. (need whistling whilst slowly walking away smily)
  2. Image hosted by tripod, which one is it SDM? The text below is a lie.
  3. Yeah, but its not out until September 124th, so by the time that date exists you may have upgraded. That has to be factored in.
  4. I'm sure I read somewhere La Res were going to be in the game. I just hope you don't have to play story mode with every CAW just to get their stats even vaguely decent like you did in HCTP. That way I might actually use CAWs.
  5. Don't understand why after the whole FBI debacle of last year they've decided to put in Chuck Palumbo in rather than Nunzio and Stamboli who've actually appeared on TV since the draft lottery. Clearly the character models were already made.
  6. I really like that feature, you can make your wrestler look completely different in ring to how he does on entrance. If you can be arsed to put the effort in Smackdowns CAW is superb. But I agree that No Mercys was excellent for relevant simple parts. Plus the fact that the Premade wrestlers were made using the same CAW parts meant you couldnt tell the difference between CAWs and WWF superstars.
  7. That is superb. Pity its last seasons Prem, but not a big problem, at least its means you can still beat dirty Leeds. I might be a bit wary of accepting my random picks now mind if I get a non-big 3 Dutch team.
  8. Erm, is there any chance of starting a KOC thread so this one can discuss the new Smackdown? This is getting bogged down by the same argument every two pages, which I'll admit I agree with. Smackdown is not the perfect (or even high quality) wrestling game. But as much as I'd love an alternative to Smackdown, I'm really not that hung up on an uber-wrestling game, I'd rather be playing Pro Evo or GTA, but I still don't mind pulling down HCTP for a quick blast every so often to do exactly what Media is saying. Set up a ridiculous gimmick match and have some multiplayer craziness. I really don't mind that its unrealistic for those ten minutes before I decide to do something else. And calling him a corporate whore while simultaneously shilling another product (I assume KOC is made by a company and not an underground developer who needs the hype) is a tad hypocritical. Especially if you still bought Smackdown anyway like the rest of did, despite its obvious flaws.
  9. Ditto on JohnnyPerfect, those are my three exact choices. I want one now, I could stagger it then!
  10. Mull Historical Society. Super Furry Animals. And I've always thought that The Music is the coolest band name ever. And I'm the other way round on Dogs Die in Hot Cars. I hate the name (too long, too morbid) but like the band, that album is sheer quality.
  11. Bluetones or Teenage Fanclub. Or suspend your derision and listen to Menswe@r. Oh yeah! Plus that Charlotte Hatherley single is poptastic.
  12. Did anyone watch the opening ceremony, that thing was damn long. I hope they put toilets under that stage, because anyone from an early country was standing there a very long time. And it was rubbish. I spotted Yao Ming before Barry Davies though, which means I rule.
  13. Just by Radiohead - What does he say?!??? Can't think of anymore at present, this post may be edited tomorrow, be sure to check back!
  14. He wrote Alien Resurrection? May God have mercy on us all... Hope his filmwriting skills have improved somewhat.
  15. Cheers boss. Halfway through download now.
  16. Whats Matzats file? I'd like to know before I download 61megs worth. Is there anywhere with access to the SvR vids without being on IGN Insider, I wanna see em!
  17. Over 50 current superstars. That means legends are extras. I didn't notice the La Res situation, but I think they'd lost the belts by the time it was released in the UK.
  18. I'm 21, love No Mercy and still play it to this day, usually spend any multiplayer PS2 time playing Pro Evo Soccer, but still love playing Smackdown every so often because it is fun. Yes, there are glitches, but most of them are so shit they're quite funny. The career mode, although massively flawed is still very addictive, I played through the whole thing on the last two games (I quite enjoyed the stable bit, where I created the UberCanadians). I still pull HCTP out every so often to play against my 17 year old brother, who plays it all the time against his friends. Now since I'm a student with nowhere near enough capital to be buying imported games and a console to play it on, and since Pro Wrestling X isn't due for at least another 2 years, I'm going to keep playing Smackdown, just because it isn't the end of the world for me to be playing a game with a better, far more expensive alternative. Now can we get back to discussing the new game, or start a new thread discussing why HCTP is worse than various imports.
  19. How long do they have left to add London and Kidman, you have to think the tag champs have to be included. And once again, SPANK METER! I'm not six!
  20. I think a lot more blame needs to be put on the parents of the victim, simply because of the fact they allowed their 14 year old son to go into the woods with a 17 year old to 'meet some girls'. If that happened to me when I was 14 I wouldn't be let out of the house. Not that I'd know any rogue 17 year olds anyway. I haven't played Manhunt a lot myself, like a few others I found it boring after half an hour, but isn't the story basically a slightly more violent version of the Running Man? The film is a good 15 year old, the book older, and although the game is a tad more gritty (what isn't these days?) it still shares a lot of characteristics with the story. In this sense I dont think its violence for violence's sake, I think its actually a quite well thought out story, clearly only designed for over 18s. GTA games could probably be played by under 18's, just because most of the violence etc. is done in a cartoony, funny way. Manhunt on the other hand is a true 18 game, and is as graphic as an 18 film would be. Retailers need to be aware that with improving technology, they must be as strict with games as they are with films.
