I've now been on White 2 for 72 hours. All my Pokémon (Pokédex says 92 so take some off for evolutions) are at least Level 30, my main team is Level 40 and the rest are being trained to that stage. I have 4 gym badges.

I think I've read that people will restart their games thousands of times until they successfully get the 1 in 25555 shot of a shiny starter Pokémon. The thought of that just breaks every logical part of my mind but each to their own I guess. Training in Ash Gray is so much more difficult than it is in White 2, even with the speed up toggle on. WHERE ARE THE AUDINOS DAMMIT.

I did love it, but it's starting to get a bit misleading. It's telling me I'm missing an Eevee for Castelia City in the "Pokémon Found In Wild Grass" list. After searching around as best I could I went on to the old way of doing things, the internet, and found that the Eevee I can only get as a gift after beating the E4. Nope you can get one. If you go through the sewers to the Castelia Garden there's an area that has different Pokemon. It's a pretty low chance about 5%, but they are there. Have to be persistent. It took a while to get a Tynamo in Chargestone Cave. Thanks man, just caught one now. Unfortunately I'm far too OCD in this game and am now finding four more to get the full set of -eons, can't get Leafeon and Glaceon without trading I believe.

I finished Soul Silver a couple of weeks ago and Lance was a nightmare then, three Dragonites all L49-50 with no real way of knowing which has Thunderbolt, which has Blizzard and which has Outrage. I got there in the end by using Nidoking to Poison Jab it constantly, Ampharos to ThunderPunch it and Dragonair to sweep up if they got KO'd. Oh, and using about 20 Full Restores per battle. I may as well keep my White 2 journey updated here, and I've just finished the second gym. It's fair to say that I do far more work than in necessary whenever I play when it comes to catching and training Pokémon, trying to keep every Pokémon I own at the same level, not just the six in my team. With Audino grinding it doesn't take that long and it ensures I have a strong team for any situation Right now the following six are my team: Azumarill - L21 Pignite - L20 Swadloon - L20 Pidove - L20 Flaaffy - L20 Lucario - L20 and in my PC: Psyduck - L20 (Reserve Water Type) Patrat - L20 Liepard - L20 (An absolute bitch to train) Herdier - L20 Growlithe - L20 (Reserve Fire Type) Magnemite - L20 Koffing - L20 Venipede - L20 Dunsparce - L20 (Better than you'd think) Audino - L20 (As bad as you'd think) Elekid - L20 (Reserve Electric Type) The team I used to take on Poison Gym Leader Roxie was: Lucario Magnemite Psyduck (with Confusion) Pignite Flaaffy Pidove It was an easy victory. Now to the PokéStar Movie Studios!

There is something so immensely satisfying when you battle a Level 7 Audino with a Level 3 Sunkern, switch Sunkern to Patrat, the Patrat loses but leaves the Audino with 1-2 HP, bring the Sunkern back to win and get 874 EXP points. The result is 8 levels grown in one battle and me cackling like a nutcase.

I am a mightily pissed off Chris2K. I was doing some training on Route 20 in a double battle when both of my Pokémon went down in the same turn. I tried switching two new ones in but every time I selected Mareep first it said I had selected Psyduck, so when I tried to select Psyduck as the second replacement it said that both Psyduck and Mareep were out and I couldn't choose anything else. The result was I had to turn my DS off and I lost 3 hours of training, 4 Pokémon that I caught and a victory in a gym battle. Save regularly folks.

The Ranch at the beginning is just crazy. Walking around in some wild grass, oh, a Pakrat. Oh, a Purrloin. Oh... a Mareep. OH... a Psyduck. OOOH an Azurill. OOOH a RIOLU. I might have most of my team formed already, definitely Mareep as I love me some Ampharos.

Picked up White 2 yesterday and have already restarted because I was annoyed at the name I gave my Rival. I ended up choosing Tepig, it's a bit of a boring choice (particularly as I did the same in Black) but I really like the Fire/Fighting types and have never really liked Snivy or Oshawott. I think it would have been nice to have mixed up the starter options even though it's the same world as B/W. I'm only up to getting my Pokédex and haven't even fought my rival yet (I try not to play at home much and save it for my work lunch breaks to make the game last longer), just out of interest is it still possible to grind levels against shaking grass-Audinos?

I don't mind really, if you need a defender I can go there, maybe best at right/left back where actual tackling is less necessary. My PSN account is CHRIS_KOTW if you want to add me .
