  1. Rogue Legacy 2 shadowdropping on the shop after the Nintendo Direct is a great little bit of news. Was hoping that game would be ported sooner rather than later.
  2. I probably should buy it so...?

    What....wait? Wait...what? What....wait?
  4. 6-11 will probably win it at this rate.
  5. Oh I (should) know. They were included in my 'big European bet across the day' bet, which is separate to my 'just betting on the UK 3pm kickoffs' bet, so some match had to be the early kickoff.
  6. I backed Manchester City to beat Liverpool. I backed Liverpool to beat Nottingham. Liverpool, in some manner or means, seem determined to cost me money.
  7. Has anyone played any of the '...of Mana' games on the Switch? Thoughts?
  8. I remember watching Best of the Best when I was young and enjoying it a lot. Not sure how it aged, but a good shout for sure.
  9. Can someone explain the thing with Monkey Island to me...is this considered to be the 3rd game, even though there have been several others? Are there only some that are considered 'canon' or something along those lines?
  10. How does a game being in Early Access form work on the Switch? I'm assuming it'll just get updates like the PC version?
  11. I'm a couple of hours in and there are just so many systems to keep track of. It doesn't help that I'm playing it alongside Atelier Ayesha which is a much more sedate experience.
  12. I own all 3 now so will move onto 2 next. However, I remember playing it a bit when I first got it and I wasn't as into it as I got into XC - will have to give it another go.
  13. I completed Xenoblade Chronicles. Go me.
  14. I know this comes off of the back of results yesterday, but I'd be very surprised if we finish below Forest and Bournemouth like a number have suggested. The first have got the same issue we have with splashing the cash on disparate players who will take time to gel, if ever. I know Bournemouth won, but I think thay says more about Villa than them - I don't think they've strengthened enough to stay up. I mean, I'll snap your hands off for 17th, naturally. But yeah, we come in with a stronger winning team, have strengthened well (though still need some more), and have a better manager for what we have to work with. It's a big ask, but we shall see.
  15. I don't think I've ever spent as much time or had as much fun playing WCW/NWO Revenge. I know the WWF games were probably better in terms of pure gaming, but I absolutely adored Revenge and played it an absolute shedload with friends. Perfect cross section of place and time really. Since no-one has mentioned it, I'll give an honourable mention to WCW versus the World. Not the greatest by any means, but one I really enjoyed playing.

Ardal O'Hanlon might be my favourite contestant of all time. Definitely top 3.
  17. I really should go back to it. One of those games I own that just got swamped by other games.
  18. Since I recommended it to you (whether you chose it off of that or not), I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. It was a really excellent read.
  19. You can largely set it up so that other members of staff do the bits that you don't want to do.
  20. I do feel like it can be a bit repetitive, but that might also be because I was putting at least an hour into it every day for a couple of weeks. The fighting system is decent for the most part and it is challenging enough to make it feel that you've done well when you complete a chapter.
  21. Turn based RPG. It is split into Chapters in which you basically control a tank through a series of different battles en route to a boss fight. At points, the path will split and you can decide whether you go for an easier or harder route, with the more challenging opponents yielding better rewards. There are also some base building bits between battles as you improve the inside of the tank. Definitely worth playing.
  22. I actually completed another game! Ending talk in spoiler box: Fun game though, if a little repetitive at times.

    WWE 2K23

I ended up treating myself to this the other day. Only did the tutorial and one match, but I liked the weight of the moves - everything felt like it had a bit of heft to it, which was pleasing.
  24. He used gastroenteritis as a means to get out of it last year.
