  1. Edge of Darkness (3/10) - What a complete mess. This film did so little to entertain me that I really should have just shut it off, but for some reason I just powered through it. It seemed like the movie was trying to turn Mel Gibson into Liam Neeson's character from Taken, which I could have gotten behind mainly because Mel Gibson could definitely pull off a crazy person but they didn't actually go through with it and his character wasn't the one to actually resolve anything. which made this whole movie fall flat to me. I was going to give this a 2/10, but I added a point because I did enjoy the guy nailing the chick with the car and tearing the door off the car. Very well done. Find that on youtube or something, then avoid this movie like it was the plague.
  2. Well if they're going to have a show about a guy working in an Indian call center, they should get these guys. Anyways, this may be the show that makes me angriest today, since I just had to call a call center earlier and spent like an hour and a half yelling at the people there. I can definitely see some opportunities for funny stuff there though, but a guy thats written 140 episodes of George Lopez show doesn't give me any hope at all.
  3. Black Dynamite (8.5/10) - Absolutely ridiculous and fun as hell to watch. I don't know if they were trying to make fun of the 70's blaxploitation films or just set out to make a really awesome one but it totally worked. There were little things like the car not being put into park or the same explosion clip being used twice that made me laugh, and the action/fighting scenes were pretty well done too. I think the best thing had to be the story, which got more and more ridiculous as it progressed, but I totally wasn't expecting the ending. The fight was great though. Totally worth checking out.
  4. I'm goddamn terrible at this.
  5. Whatever, I'm still going to buy it, even if I barely even turn on my xbox anymore.
  6. Just finished getting caught up with Fringe. Not only is it a good show, it's been getting better as the season progresses and all hell looks to be going down on the finale (at least I'm pretty sure its the season finale) tonight. So Supernatural had their season finale tonight too and I had to give that precedent. Not sure what to think about that episode, mainly because Anyone else's thoughts?
  7. State of Play (6.5/10) - I didn't actually know what this movie was about until I started watching it and now that I think I about it I might have gotten it confused with Body of Lies but this wasn't too bad. It was pretty suspenseful, lots of twists and turns and had a good story behind it. Honestly, it deserves a higher rating than I gave it, I was just in the mood to see something different. If it were on TV or you can get a hold of it, I'd give it a chance.
  8. I'd rather have an Alf remake. Cmon, who couldn't see him climbing out of that destroyed train and into america's hearts?
  9. Up (9.5/10) - I'm a big fan of Pixar's stuff, they usually put out high quality animated films that everyone can enjoy and the storytelling, dialog and characters that they come up with are second to none. Up is just another feather in their hat. Tons of fun but still a storyline that you can appreciate and it makes you think after the movie is over. Plus, I just loved the dog, Dug. I think if you could put a voice collar on nearly any dog, thats exactly what it'd sound like. Totally worth getting a hold of. The Road (8.5/10) - So after being happy with Up, I went the complete opposite with The Road. This is really one of the most depressing movies you can watch, the scenery is bleak and grey, nearly everyone has resorted to cannibalism and all Viggo Mortensen wants to do is get his son to the ocean. Speaking of Mortensen, he's amazing in this. He has the cold, dead eyes of someone that's seen some really disturbing shit and lived through it and also looks like someone that's been living off of basically nothing for years. Seriously, this is some depressing shit, but thats exactly what it was meant to be. Also totally worth getting a hold of. Brooklyn's Finest (7/10) - Not a terrible movie by any stretch of the immagination, but when put against the previous two theres no real chance. There's a really good cast in this but the person I was most surprised about was Wesley Snipes, who did a very good job as a recently released ex con. I shouldn't have been surprised though.because Snipes seems to have three roles down pretty well: Police Officer, Ex Con and Vampire Hunter. If you get the chance, give it a shot because it does have a pretty decent cast (Richard Gere, Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke) but I wouldn't go out looking for a copy.
  10. Since I finished Greek I haven't been able to get into another show. Thankfully theres enough stuff that I can catch up on or rewatch until I can find something new. Just watched the two most recent episodes of Supernatural and have to say that Death is awesome and there are so many different ways that the season finale could go that it's not even worth trying to guess.

    Machete

That's an awesomely random cast. Steven Segal? Don Johnson? Lindsey Lohan? This is going to be either awesome or an enjoyable trainwreck. Other than that, I'm really down with anything involving Danny Trejo and Robert DeNiro is nearly always enjoyable to watch.
  12. I haven't seen Spaced before, so I'm assuming its something I should watch right? I've never seen an episode of Friends (which I'm actually kind of proud of) so I may not watch Coupling but Zombie mini TV series sounds right up my alley.
  13. Alright, so I do want to watch a british show and since I don't think I can watch anymore of Skins I'll turn to you guys. What's the best british show? Keep in mind, I haven't watched anything from there, so anything really is open. The only british actors I know are Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and thats only because of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
  14. So I couldn't figure out what to watch after finishing up Greek (I still haven't watched Mad Men, but I'm just going to continue to put that one off) and eventually decided to watch Skins after hearing good stuff about it from you people. I'm three episodes in and I'm not really sure If I'm liking it very much but honestly, I'm really not sure why.
  15. The only part of Breaking Bad I'm finding interesting at the moment are those creepy Mexican twins. They didn't say any words at all in the first two episodes and came off as huge badasses. Are they still as awesome later on in the season? I haven't watched Parks and Recreation in awhile, has it really gotten that much better? Last time I watched it, it came off like an even more awkward version of the Office, and I can't stand that uncomfortable, awkward type of humor. Community has been outstanding though, much better than The Office and 30 Rock by far. It's my favorite comedy show at the moment (although I haven't watched Modern Family, which I've heard is pretty good too)
  16. Just finished watching Greek, which wasn't too bad. I'm trying to get through season 3 of Breaking Bad now, but I don't know how long I'm going to be able to keep watching. It's really not doing much to hold my attention at the moment but I'm going to give it an episode or two before I decide to switch to something else.

    Batman 3

I could totally see this. I really think that The Riddler would be the way to go and Hall would be perfect, although I really wouldn't object to Depp either. I think that both of them could pull it off but I've got faith in the casting since I didn't think that Heath Ledger was going to be as awesome when he was first announced. I'd maybe put someone else in there too, like Catwoman, Zsasz or Killer Croc? I really wouldn't use Bane because he could be awesome as a villain in another movie.
  18. AFC East is going to be real fun to watch next year. Jets loaded up on talent, Dolphins added Marshall, Patriots still are one of the better teams in football and Buffalo...uh...well maybe Buffalo will decide to run the option or something.
  19. I'm guessing there were too many scary black people at his draft party or something.
  20. The Jets are really a scary team and this just kinda makes it worse. You've got the WR's locked down, which leaves Rex to send as many people as he feels like. It's going to be fun to watch them (unless they're playing against your team)
  21. ugh. Fuck you New England. Two chances to get Bryant and you pass both times. Retarded.
  22. I have a feeling I'm going to be pissed. Cincy doesn't take Dez, leaving him to fall to NE at 22...but they trade the pick to Denver. We don't need anymore picks dammit! Pick the Wide Receiver!
  23. I've got my fingers crossed that Dez Bryant somehow falls all the way to the Pats, I think he'd fit in nicely and possibly take Moss' place when he leaves after this season. Plus Tom Brady can always use more weapons.
  24. I think I've said it a couple times already but I think that The OC would have gotten more popular if they continued with the series four cast for a season or two more. I was so happy to see Marissa, who really, really annoyed the fuck out of me, kick the bucket and get replaced by a much more entertaining character.

    L33t Thread 2010

What the fuck was that?! You gotta put that sort of shit in spoilers, that thing is giving a look like he's standing at the foot of your bed with his pants off, watching you sleep.
