  6. Dickov should piss through League One, as a Leeds fan though I hope he don't. Think Wolves are going to be the team to watch in the Championship, Sylvan Ebanks Blake and Iwelumo should be a formidable partnership.

  9. If you'll take a few more on then I'd be up for it, but if not never mind
  10. http://www.football-rumours.co.uk/ That's great for a laugh Yea without checking what's been posted, I think Leeds are looking to bring in Nemeth from Liverpool on loan and Jay Bothroyd. The latter I wouldn't have but the first would be good.
  11. I'd love them to some how be able to recreate the commentry of Monsoon and Heenan, but of course that can't happen due to Monsoon's passing away and Heenans throat. Using some old clips of them would work I suppose. I can see the roster having something like: Andre The Giant, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Yokozuna, Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat, King Kong Bundy, Kane, Ted Dibiase, Ultimate Warrior, Eddie Guerrero, John Cena, Rick Rude, Jimmy Snuka and Ric Flair All have contributed in some way to Wrestlemania and have delivered some sort of Wrestlemania moment. Obviously that won't be the definative list, but I'd be surprised if it was much different Owen Hart, Randy Savage, Mr T, Mr Perfect, Lawrence Taylor, Vince McMahon and Pete Rose will all possible be in there too
  12. Wembley, Wembley, we're the famous Leeds United and we're going to Wembley I have to be honest and say I've never shat myself through a football match as much as I did tonight
  13. I'm hoping these early dispatches have a knock on as they seem to do with Football Manager, and prompt the shops to start selling the game Monday instead to catch up on the sales. I was so close to pre-ordering off Play.com a few months ago too but decided it wouldn't make a difference to when it gets here due to Tuesday release
  14. http://www.wegame.com/watch/GTA_4_MORE_REA...Intro_included/ That game play looks amazing, the hole in the wall is a great idea and far more realistic than carrying £10 million around
  15. Anyone play April 1st. Heard someone tell me about this when the dates April 1st in real life and in the game, but didn't believe it only to find this earlier http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/9872/veryfunnyab1.jpg I'd of been gutted if that happened to me
  16. Jermaine Defoe is a machine for me, 20 goals in the season and I'm only in October. As for my game, its the most fun I've had playing one. I'm Newcastle and in 2012, finally looking like I am going to win the league. My best 11 I think is... GK: Ochoa RB: Mark Wilson LB: Joe Mattock CB: Joleon Lescott CB: Peter Ramage RM: Steven Gerrard LM: Giles Barnes CM: Diego CM: Michal Bodmar SC: Jermain Defoe SC: Asamoah Gyan My backup players include Hutton, Alou Diarra, Franks, Brunt, Kawbena, Thygeson, Ireland, Rajkovic, Chambers and Woodgate The downside is that Defoe won't sign a new contract which expires at the end of the season. Any player guaranteed bags of goals I should look into signing
  17. Add a manager as England who just plays the likes of Heskey, Dyer, Bowyer etc all out of position then resign with him and add a new one, then retire the other

    Euro 2008

I'll back Spain just so I can go another major tournament expecting to win but getting nowhere. Who does everyone want to take over McLaren? Redknapp or Mourinho are my two choices, but I want someone who'll plan long term, and get rid of the likes of Bridge, Neville, Campbell, Beckham, Owen etc
  19. I've never really rated Beckham at any point in his career, although there may be some biased in that because I'm anti everything Man United. I can only remember him putting in one good performance for England, the one against Greece where he played a crucial part in us qualifying. Other than that his time for England, especially as captain, he very rarely lived up to any expectations. He should of retired for England when he stepped down as captain, especially as he's given up playing competitive club football, leaving the door open for players like Wright-Phillips, Bentley, Lennon and Milner to be given a chance to step up. I know he don't pick the team, but Becks is smart enough to know that if it does go pear shaped for England, he'll be one of the first to get called up for his experience Skill wise, I think the only great attribute that he has is to kick the ball. That sounds good enough, and I'll admit that for a midfielder the ability to produce killer long balls and deadly set pieces can be critical at such a high level, however Beckham is someone who has played right wing, and as a winger he lacked the pace to get past defenders to truly open things up nor did he rarely take defenders on. I'll admit his tackling has improved, and the last few games I'd of played him in the middle for England before considering playing him on the right, allowing him to dictate the play Long term, Beckham will probably be remembered as a man who helped to revolutionize the MLS and if he does that then fair play to him. I don't think he'll be remembered in a negative light due to him enhancing the games reputation. I think that he'll get a lot of recognistion with the England game arranged against France next year so he can win his 100th cap. As captain for England, he'll never be up there with a Tony Adams or a Bobby Moore, but more of a marketing ploy by the FA to get kids to buy the shirts
  20. I officially suck at this game. I lost my first match with Leeds 3-0. To Northampton. At home. Has anyone noticed their goalkeeper take the kick off from the second half. Ankergren did it for me before jogging back to his goal. Nothing really happened from it just seem quite weird

  23. Obviously not much added for it yet, but features include: Transfer Center - A new way of managing all current transfer and loan bids for your club, both incoming and outgoing, making it easier to compare bids and reject or accept them. Finance Revamp - Sports Interactive have updated the finance area of Football Manager 2008 to better reflect the ever-changing modern football world. More information is available to the manager too, including, but not limited to, corporate matchday income, season ticket news, investment funds, improved sponsorships, collective win bonuses and the ability to move around funds from the wage budget and transfer budget (and vice versa) at any point to help you in your quest for the ideal squad. International Management - The international management gameplay has been completely revamped for Football Manager 2008, including, but not limited to, media improvements, international retirements, player interaction, international scouting, improved national pool selection, captain selection and a separation of international and club morale for players. Match Flow - The largest change to matchdays in a Sports Interactive game since the introduction of the 2D match engine. Match flow brings more atmosphere to matchdays with match previews, team talks, opposition player instructions, the match itself, half time and post match now seamlessly following on from one another. There's no more pausing to make tactical changes and you'll find a mini-radar pitch whilst making those tactical changes to keep you in touch with what's going on in the match. Confidence - You can now easily tell what your board and supporters think about your performance in the game through the new confidence section. This gives you feedback not just on your current progress in competitions, but also your financial management and signings. Easier to Use - A much cleaner skin, a brand new advisor system to help you through various areas of the game, a new notes and notebook system, better button positioning for simpler navigation and an updated tutorial and manual. Also, coach reports to make taking over a new team easier and a new calendar system - which lists all important dates throughout the season - help to make Football Manager 2008 the easiest Sports Interactive game to use yet. Fan Days - The board can now arrange fan days to boost ailing attendances, or for matches that are likely to attract a low crowd, with a long-term affect to attendances if all goes well. Awards Overhaul - A full overhaul of the awards system inside the game, which is not only more accurate but also includes new awards, such as the European golden boot and a 'best eleven', which shows the all-time (in-game) best XI for all teams and nations. Match Engine Improvements - A greatly improved match engine, once again utilizing the footballing brain of Ray Houghton and other tools used by real-life managers, to make the most accurate simulation of football in a computer game even more like-life than ever before. Oh, and the ability to change the pitch dimensions at the start of the season to suit your style of play better. Expanded Media - More media and feedback than ever before, plus more detail in existing media, and a new competition news section to find out what major things are going on in all league competitions. Regenerated Player Photos - All in-game regenerated players now have pictures using FaceGen technology to give each player more personality. This gives the ability for players to be seen to mature and grow-up looks-wise in front of your eyes as the game is going on. Speedyfastier - Saving and loading is now significantly faster, with network gaming quicker and smoother to play, as well as tactical changes and match reports being faster than ever before Also is penciled in for a December release. International management is definately something that needed expanding on, and anything done to it could only be an improvement. The fan days seem like a good idea for a small club, but a lot of it sounds like 2007 but updated which isn't a bad thing. The financial section would probably confuse me if it's too complicated Oh and some piccys
