  4. Bigelow being in is quite cool, was hoping Vader and British Bulldog would as well though. 4 faces for Foley seems bit much, but suppose they may set it up so that they're like different attires as opposed to 4 different workers
  5. Never mind, didn't realise was already posted.... I'm looking forward to seeing how the World knowledge part works, would be cool to see how long it takes to know everything about every region
  6. I got sacked as West Ham in my game so went and took over Everton, 21st in the Championship at the end of November. As the strikers were light, I signed Mark Viduka on a free and paid him £800 a week and he went on to score 6 goals in his first 6 games and averaging about 7.5. Then I get an e-mail with the media criticising me for picking Viduka when he's past his best. Then I looked in Dukas profile and his concerns are: "Feels the media are being too critical of him" "Feels the media are correct about him being past his best" Can he not just make his mind up. Not going to change me ways and stop playing him. Oh and in middle of February now and am just 7 points off playoffs with a game in hand
  7. So after loading the updated transfer pack I thought I'd give it a spin with West Ham to see how good Tevez and Mascherano were on the game. Straight away I get bombarded with offers for Mark Noble, rated at £3 million from pretty much every Premiership side. Arsenal and Liverpool persistantly make offers but I batted them all away as he has good stats and reckon I can get him to about 10 million by end of season at least. Plus he's on loan until November so he's going to be constantly playing. All I managed to sign were Diego Tristan (Free) and Calum Davenport (1M), and sold someone from the under 18s for 880K. Through the season we had a mixed bag, being largely inconsistent throughout and in March we currently sit in 9th place with 3 games in hand (thanks to the UEFA Cup, more on that in a bit). In January I sold Ashton to Blackburn for 4.5M as he never impressed me and I replaced him with Dave Nugent for 6.25M. Lately our form in the league has slipped, with defeats to Newcastle (6-4), Villa (3-0) and a 1-1 draw with Arsenal as well as a goalless one to Wigan. With our games in hand though we can quite easily get a top 6 finish. Our best fortunes have come in cup competitions though. The FA Cup saw us reach the Quarter Finals where we were knocked out to Fulham, thanks to a Franck Quedrue 120th minute free kick after I was 2-0 up at half time. Earlier in the FA Cup I beat Halifax 6-1 in the replay (after being held 1-1 at the Shaw), and beat Colchester and Stoke both 2-0. The League Cup saw us reach the Semi Finals and were beaten 6-4 on aggergate to Middlesborough. Our run in the League Cup was a tricky one, as we needed penalties to beat Liverpool, but followed that up with a 3-1 win over Villa and a 2-0 victory against Blackburn. Boro beat us 4-2 at the Riverside, and managed to hold us to a 2 all draw at Upton Park to advance to the final (where they lost 2-1 to Arsenal) The best run for us however has been in the UEFA Cup. Our group included the holders Sevilla, Dinamo, Steaua Bucharest and Dinamo Kiev. After a famous 3-1 win away to Sevilla, with 2 goals in the last ten minutes from Reo-Coker and Harewood, we went on to beat Dinemo Kiev 3-0 and Dinamo 1-0 meaning we had qualified with 1 game left allowing me to play a team including a lot of fringe players. 2 goals from Carlton Cole and 1 from Konchesky gave us a 3 nil lead but Steaua bounced back and had equalised in the 50th minute. However Carlton Cole completed his hat trick with 5 minutes left to see us top the group. The next stage drew us against Club Brugge. Tristan scored once for us away but we lost the first leg 2-1, but in the second leg Tevez scored a hat trick and Tristan got another as we won on aggregate 5-2. In the last 16 we came up against Galatasary. We went 1 up at home but they scored twice more and looked like taking an away win, but 2 goals from Mark Noble and one from Harewood in the last 10 minutes give us a 4-2 lead, and we won 3-0 at there place. Now in the QTRs I am drew against AZ of Holland, with the winners advancing to play PSG or Dortmund. In the summer I'm hoping for a big transfer budget as I aim to sign a couple of players. The main target is James Morrison as I need a good right winger, although I am also interested in Fabragas, Warnock and Hargreaves. Me squad is (1st choice on left): GK: Green/Carroll DR: Mears/Pantsil DL: McCartney/Spector DC: Ferdinand/Davenport DC: Collins/Gabbidon (will be Kilgallon in July) MR: Benayoun/Bowyer ML: Etherington/Konchesky MC: Reo-Coker MC: Noble/Mascherano FC: Tristan/Harewood FC: Tevez/Nugent
  8. Just a couple of questions because I don't know where to look 1) Is there an update for the full transfer list after yesterday? If not whens it due out and what is the latest update? 2) Is there anyway I can download the latest kits and badges for clubs? 3) Is there a way so I can start a new game with the Premiership at the start of the 06/07, as opposed to last year As far as my game, I started off at Liverpool and won the Super Cup and World Club Cup but the league form wasn't brilliant for some reason, so I resigned in January due to the board and fans bitching at me. After that I took the first job which was available, Boston United who were 23rd in League 2 and 5 points off safety. That season I managed to take them to 15th which included a 6 game win streak That summer I managed to sign Les Ferdinand who scored 20 goals by Christmas before injuring himself for the season so I brought in Craig Fagan on the cheap who went on to score 4 goals in his debut and forming a good partnership with Lee Bernard. I rejected offers from Sheffield United and Reading, both in the Championship relegation zone, as Boston were in the thick of the playoffs. However towards the end of the year it all slipped away and I ended up finishing 10th thanks to a nil nil draw with Torquay. This meant I missed out on the playoffs by 2 points and automatic promotion by 4 points. During the summer Charlton got relegated and offered me the job. As tempted as I was to help Boston get promoted the following season, the lure of a top club and a 12 million budget was too much and I moved down south. The squad was pretty good but light in certain areas, but I managed to bring in Neil Mellor (1.5M) Antoine Sibierski (Free) Craig Fagan (220K) Ryan Shawcross (800K) Leigh Downing (Free) Dong Fangzhou (Loan) And as well as that I have Ben Foster joining me in January and am in talks with Theo Walcott and Dean Ashton from Norwich. Robbie Blake was disappointed I didn't sign him because I wouldn't pay him 40k a week. The season started well with 6 wins and 3 draws in our first 9 games, as well as a 5-1 thrashing of Yeovil in the League Cup. Darren Bent scored 14 goals in those first few games, but the run came to the end as we were beaten 4-0 to Leicester. We bounced back from this to beat Luton before losing to Ipswich. I'm currently top of the table, but both Birmingham and Derby are also on the same number of points as me with Leeds just 1 point back. Hopefully I cane pull away a bit more as Blues and Leeds are my next 2 games.

  12. Glyns a legend, think he's the only one who makes me laugh on a regular basis. Him singing the Arctic Monkeys when he were in the shower was class.
  13. 1. Oasis - "Live Forever" 2. The Beatles - "Hey Jude" 3. Queen - "Don't Stop Me Now" 4. The Eagles - "Hotel California" 5. Green Day - "Good Riddance (The Time of your Life)" 6. 14. I pissed meself laughing at Glyn last night, "Which ones the oven, is it the one with the hobs" To be fair I wouldn't know meself
  15. Lucas Radebe always is the number 5 to me I remember when Smith left Leeds, some fans wanted his number 17 shirt retired out of disgrace for leaving to Man United
  16. Yea add me in, can't be as bad as the other ones I've done where I have international forces such as Switzerland and Trinidad and Tobago And for some reason I can see Germany being the winners
  17. And from Skybet... Pete - 5/1 Golden Ticket Winner - 7/1 Shahbaz - 7/1 Imogen - 8/1 Sezer - 8/1 Mikey - 10/1 George - 10/1 Lisa - 10/1 Grace - 12/1 Richard - 16/1 Glyn - 16/1 Nikki - 18/1 Dawn - 22/1 Leah - 25/1 Bonnie - 25/1 Any Other - 7/1 Shows how good some of these people are, people who haven't even entered the house have lower odds than 12 of the housemates, although that ain't to surprising I think Sezer or George are the two values for money early on
  18. The Swede has selected Middlesbrough's Stewart Downing, Tottenham youngster Aaron Lennon and untried rookie Theo Walcott of Arsenal. England squad: Paul Robinson (Tottenham) David James (Manchester City) Robert Green (Norwich) Gary Neville (Manchester United) Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United) John Terry (Chelsea) Ashley Cole (Arsenal) Sol Campbell (Arsenal) Jamie Carragher (Liverpool) Wayne Bridge (Chelsea) David Beckham (Real Madrid) Michael Carrick (Tottenham) Frank Lampard (Chelsea) Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) Owen Hargreaves (Bayern Munich) Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham) Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough) Joe Cole (Chelsea) Aaron Lennon (Tottenham) Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) Michael Owen (Newcastle) Peter Crouch (Liverpool) Theo Walcott (Arsenal). Putting Theo Walcott, who has not yet played in the Premiership, over Defoe and Darren Bent (top English scorer in the Prem) is shocking. Walcott as a reserve would have been ok, but seeing as Owen and Rooney are doubts then its a massive risk Hargreaves over King isn't the best call he's ever made, although I'll give him credit for picking Lennon over SWP.
  19. I think its a good song, just not for football.
  20. Ian Holloway summed it up best for me when he said "we can't have a Brazilian up front, so why have a Brazilian in charge" It'll take him until 2008 to get used to the English game
  21. Oasis Blur Ordinary Boys The Beatles Kaiser Chiefs Kasabian Arctic Monkeys Jack Johnson Travis Coldplay The Verve Franz Ferdinand Snow Patrol Embrace Hard-Fi Pulp GLC The Prodigy Stereophonics U2 The Killers
  22. Coventry at home to Preston should be a good price. They ain't lost at the Ricoh since October and Preston are picking up injuries. Sheff Wednesday should also beat Burnley Accrincton and Hereford are the two form teams in the conference
