  1. England and Germanys groups
  2. If I was to pick 2 songs from each of those pots, my nominees would be: James Blunt - You're Beautiful Coldplay - Speed Of Sound Daniel Powter - Bad Day Bodyrockers - I Like The Way Robbie Williams - Tripping McFly - All About You Snoop Dogg featuring Charlie Wilson and Justin Timberlake - Signs Oasis - Lyla Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. Stereophonics - Dakota But looking at what happened, the fact that Lemar, who I don't even think reached number one beat 3 songs that were number one and one of the biggest dance tunes of the year is a shocker. The fact that the Westlife song out about 2 weeks ago which was number 1 for about a week beat two of the longest runners at the top spot this year shows this is flawed. Katie Melua and BEP were two of the three worse songs in that pot, and out of the 6 in that group they are the ones that will be forgotten in a year or so, then the fact that Kelly Clarkson got through is bad. The ten records should either be in terms of record sales or airplay. The fact Arctic Monkeys didn't even make the 30 is poor. Most of the top ten chosen won't be heard after January. On second thoughts, looking at the list I would say they are all acts that ITV can get to perform live on the night (Gorillaz on a screen or something) whereas the majority of others (Snoop Dogg, Coldplay, Oasis, Robbie, 50 Cent, J'Lo etc) probably wouldn't show up
  3. The top ten songs to choose from for record of the year are: BLACK EYED PEAS - "MY HUMPS" GORILLAZ - "FEEL GOOD INC." LEMAR - "IF THERE'S ANY JUSTICE" GWEN STEFANI - "WHAT YOU WAITING FOR?" DANIEL POWTER - "BAD DAY" WESTLIFE - "YOU RAISE ME UP" KELLY CLARKSON - "SINCE U BEEN GONE" MCFLY - "ALL ABOUT YOU" JAMES BLUNT - "YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL" KATIE MELUA - "NINE MILLION BYCYCLES" Has this year really been that bad for music? BEP, Lemar, Daniel Powter, Westlife, Kelly Clarkson and Katie Melua should not be up with a chance of winning this. While James Blunt was only half decent (and is the favorite), Gorillaz song was quite good and I can see the appeal with the McFly one (definately their best by a mile) and the Gwen Stefani tune but the other 6 are shockers. Where's Coldplay, Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand. I'd at least expect artists like Sugababes, Robbie Williams, Madonna or even Girls Aloud to show up on the list as they've at some success this year, unlike half of the top ten.
  4. As for conference teams doing well against the Premiership, what about Exeter drawing 0-0 at Old Trafford last season? And just one year, I'd love to have a home tie for Leeds in any cup. All our cup runs have ended at a Premiership ground, with only one being a top side (Arsenal, Birmingham, Blackburn, Pompey and probably now Wigan)
  5. Soccer

I support Leeds, although I sometimes check out the Worcester or Kidderminister scores. I'll be cheering Worcester on in the FA Cup on Sunday. As soon as they get to league one or higher though I'll start to hate them with a passion, as I do with other local teams. Rangers are my favorite Scottish team, mainly because I hate the Celtic shirts. I'll also check on Barcelona and Madrid, Barca cause I went to the Nou Camp in the summer and I loved everything about it, and Madrid for Woody. No other leagues appeal to me. Oh, I also look for the Man United and Wolves scores eagerly, as I know that many of there fans I just pray they lose
  8. Why everyone just naming Leeds fans? Liverpool did it, Man City did it and apparantly Tottenham did it (That's just what I've heard) but Leeds are the ones getting all the abuse I don't condone the booing in any way. I was disappointed in our fans that did boo, although I am not surprised. I don't think the booing was aimed at Best though, but rather it being a Man United player getting a national minutes silence when Leeds players (Billy Bremner, John Charles) didn't get one previously. Whilst Best is a great player, and arguably one of the best these isles have produced, I don't think that there should of been a National Minute silence for him, due to a lot of personal problems he had (Women beating, drinking etc) rather clubs should have chose if they wanted to hold one themselves That said, I don't like any disrespecting of minute silences whoever its for and it was bang out of order. RIP Best
  9. Theres a few that stand out for me Yeboah against Liverpool was brilliant, and is my favorite goal ever Frazer Richardson against Sheffield United the other week was quality Edman against Liverpool last season Beckhams free kick against Greece Le Tiss against Newcastle (I think). He was an absolute ledge In terms of what it meant to me: David Beckhams penalty against Argentina in 2002. It was only a pen, but I've never cheered for a goal so loud in my life
  10. Has anyone noticed odd substitions in a game? I played Sheff Wed away and after 2 minutes they made a substition but the player that went off had like 94 condition and they swooped him with someone who played in the same position. It was still 0-0 at the time
  11. England just lost in the second round on mine on penalities, to Paraguay. Part of me was not surprised
  12. Has anyone got a list of the players you can buy from the PES shop and who they are meant to be? I brought a South African defender who I think is Radebe but I can't work anyone else out
  13. Matt Birley in Birmingham Under 18s is a decent player to get on loan. He can play on either wing and has done well for me in the Championship for Leeds, so he'd probably be brilliant in league 1/2
  14. Its the little things I'm liking, such as extra details about the upcoming fixture and details on the man of the match from the last game Is it just me or is everyone gettin loads of injuries. I've got my 2 right backs and my 2 keepers, as well as 2 out of 4 of my centre mids all injured. I like the bit where you decide whether you want to give an injection or rest them, or send players home if they have flu. Nice little touch as you need to think how it will affect things I love the manager information screen, all I need for overview in once place I also like the goal alerts at the bottom of the screen during a match. Another nice touch The half/full time team talks are done well. I was 2-0 to Barnsley in the cup and bollocked the team, and ended up winning 3-2 And Eddie Lewis = God, until he got injured
  15. Oh yea, I forget how little the Beatles have done for music
  16. Oasis should have been top 10 As for top 10 I'll go Beatles, Led Zep, Radiohead, Metalica, Black Sabbath, maybe Motorhead, Queen, maybe Rolling Stones. Can't work out the others. Top 3 will be: 1. Led Zep 2. Queen 3. Black Sabbath If everything is right with the world, Beatles should be number
  17. 1. Jennifer Ellison 2. Cheryl Tweedy 3. Rachel Stevens 4. Holly Valance 5. Christina Milian 6. Carmen Electra 7. J-Lo 8. Lucy Pinder 9. Jessica Simpson 10. Tina O'Brien Keep Off: 1) Any Wrestling Diva 2) Angelina Jolie 3) Halle Berry 4) Gwen Stefani 5) Jordan
  18. 1. Oasis 2. The Beatles 3. The Verve 4. Queen 5. Blur 6. REM 7. Franz Ferdinand 8. Coldplay 9. U2 10. Kaiser Chiefs
  19. The Scorpions - Wind of Change (The one of the army bit on Soccer AM) I Don't Want to Miss A Thing - Aerosmith Stay Another Day - East 17 Fix You - Coldplay You're Beautiful - James Blunt And if you want to take the piss You're Misses is a Nutter - GLC
  20. Does anyone know the name of the comedian who was on Jack Dee the other night. I think it was Lee something, but he was brilliant "Drink driving is proven to be safe. In the last year, 25,000 people have died from drinking. 35,000 have died from driving accidents but do you know how many have died through drinking and driving? 500"
  21. I saw that Iranian guy on the Jack Dee at the Apollo. He spoke about something bad then said "Now let's change the subject to talk about something on a brighter note, Al'Queda" Jack Dee is a legend as well though, as is Jimmy Carr. I've seen some of Carr in stand up but I love his column in Zoo. Brilliant
  22. Been all over around here. He was in the school I go to sixth form at and I think he would of been in year 10. His Mom and Dad own a motorbike shop in town, just minutes away from me house and that's had follows outside it since the tradegy. 2 other lads (17 and 18 years old) also died in incidents in the same week I never knew him but about he was talented. RIP
  23. Yes, because Phil Neville has no previous international experience... Neville's decent, he wouldn't be anywhere near the international team without injuries, but he'll do for two qualifying matches. He's lightyears better than Johnson, and has been in good form this season, albeit in a different position. He'll also be going up against Ryan Giggs, who he knows like the back of his hand. ←
  24. West Brom also signed Curtis Davis from Luton for £3 Million just before the deadline. I think that could of been one of the best bits of business all day Some good players took out of the Championship on the final day in Bakke, Davis and Rasiak
  25. Win, lose or draw these next two games, Sven won't be gone until we either get knocked out of the World cup or not qualify. Something I can see happening the way things are progressing I mean, not playing Defoe is absolutely shocking. Then Phil Neville at right back just because his brother's injured. What about Danny Mills? Or Tony Hibbert? Both good players, and Mills is proven at this level Stephen Warnock is a good player, so I give him points for picking him as well as dropping Calamity James and Glenn Johnson. Then we have the picking of Kieran Richardson, who had one good game in an England shirt and is now a regular even though he don't even play for Man United. Jenas is also fairly over-rated, and don't' even mention Owen Hargreaves. Jack of many trades, but he is crap at all of them Then what is the point of picking 5 strikers if he is only playing one in the first match. Sven will pick Andy Johnson for all the qualifiers no matter how crap he plays, purely because he said he will have a chance in the Championship. It would make him look like a hypocrite in some respects to leave him out And I heard Sven say that even if Owen was on the bench all season, he would still be starting in the World Cup. That must make people like Defoe, Bent, Ashton, Johnson and Crouch feel happy
