One drawback to Game Pass (and it's a completely pathetic thing to say) is being spoilt for choice. If I ever scroll through the Netflix library, I get overwhelmed and end up having no idea what to pick.

But yes, it's a great deal. There's a certain buzz you get from playing new games on their release date, but it's something I very rarely do because it's such a gamble with regards to potential quality and bug issues. With this service, you're not risking the possibility of paying full price for a game of the Fallout 76 ilk.

I'm in a similar spot. Up until they made NHL 19 a free Game with Gold, I'd only been using my Xbone for Rock Band. I tried out Game Pass a little bit ago and played Doom, which was fun, but I wasn't using it as much as I was hoping to, so I cut my subscription. With the games they've added since, and the day one releases coming up, Game Pass is something that is going to make my Xbox a lot more inviting.

Really though, what it comes down to, is that I hate the Xbox One controller. The Dual Shock 4 is perfect for me, but I'm sure I'll get used to using it again over time.

Speaking of the Xbox One controller, Microsoft has confirmed that it, along with certain other Xbox One accessories, will work with the next console.

Which is friggin' awesome - along with all the games too. Which was kind of too be expected with the architecture not being a big change as it was between other generations. Still nice to hear. That'll mean that there'll be games from every generation of Xbox playable on Scarlet.

With the Xbox Game Pass on PC, on the app there is a button you can press for it to randomly pick a game for you.

Gears of War is free with Game Pass? I didn't have any interest in Gears 5 but if it's free I guess I might as well try it

If it's a Microsoft-owned game, you can bet it's a day one release on Game Pass.
