Infinte Fire

I don't think you can just use it during the path to The Sorrow. It doesn't become activateable until after you touch him and you die, and then you can use it.

EDIT: Even though I have this game, I'm still getting Subsistence. I've heard nothing but high praise for it, plus MGS online <3

here you go . marked it spoilers just in case

Walk up river following The Sorrow, dodging ghosts and the occasional

tenticle. Try to stick to one side of the river so you have room to dodge

the tenticle. You will come across The Pain, The Fear, The End, and

The Fury and any soldiersyou've killed. When you near the end of the river,

The Sorrow will teleport off into the distance. Continue walking toward

him and when you arrive, he will tell you to wake up. At this point he

rushes Snake and you are immediately drained of all your life and stamina.

You're dead...but wait! Don't choose to continue yet! Press L2 to access

your accessories menu and select the Revival Pill. Boing! Snake's fine

and you just "beat" The Sorrow.

You can also skip all that walking by immediately suiciding. You have

access to your full inventory when the battle starts, you can also drown

yourself. When you "die" use the revival pill.

You will NOT recieve The Sorrow's spirit camo though.

Yeah to get the camo you need to make it right to the end.

Also, in the prison cell earlier there's a way to get a weird trippy Devil May Cry style dream...Can't remember exactly how to now though.

I'm working through again to get all the frogs which is a nightmare.

How is online play, anyway? Laggy?

Every online review is like, the pre-release reviewers so they always say "(nearly) Lag-free", neglecting to mention that the only other people that can even be on the server are themselves, any other magazines/websites with a copy for review, and maybe some testers for the game; and it's extremely rare that any combination of those are on at the same time.

Just got MGS3: Snake Eater yesterday. It is definitly a good game. Played for 1 1/2 hour before the game properly started.

Had the funniest conversation with Sigin when I was inside a cardboard box.

"You should come inside the box"

Cracked me up!

Best $30 I have ever spent. My only regret is not spending $6 more to get it 5 days sooner.

Capture mode is spectacular; Sneaking mode is shit early, but once you get the hang of it, it's a blast (You have to know the maps, and the normal paths to the microfilm; without this info early on you're basically running around helplessly hoping to dumb-luck stumble across Snake.)

The "worst" part of MGO is the rare instantces of lag, some early-on frustrating "OMG shooting is a coin flip" situations (It's not a coin flip for shootouts, by the way; charging blindly or just standing there makes you more likely to die than running in zig-zag or circular patterns, the latter two mess up the auto-aim feature more and you're more likely to keep hitting him than he is to keep hitting you) and not knowing the maps early on. Once you learn the maps, figure out how to stop losing every AK v. AK shootout, and dodge the lag, it's the best game I've ever played, no doubt.
