I really don't see Church being able to play Venom, he doesn't really have the look the role in my opinion. Church would be much better as Carnage but eh, I guess we'll see how he does.

i am pritty shure the rights for venom have been soled to another studio wich is why they can´t do it.

i bet it´s one of the smaler but well knowen villants as a filler, Osborn turning to the goblin is prittymuch guranteed if you ask me.

Hey folks, Harry here... Multiple spies at Sony have confirmed that Thomas Hayden Church will indeed be playing SANDMAN. There's a ton of Sandman conceptual art all over the Spidey-offices!

As with any rumor take this with a grain of salt until we hear an official announce from SONY.

Interesting. I just hope they somehow resolve the Harry Osborne storyline with him wither becoming the Goblin or accepting his fathers death who was a threat to the city. Black Cat is also rumoured(I've read about 2 sources) to be in Spidey 3, to bring some more tension into the relationship between Mary Jane and Peter Parker.

Sam Raimi doesn't like the Venom character, so I doubt we'll ever see Venom on screen. Good thing too, I think it's a piss-poor character myself.

EDIT: The only comic with Venom in it that I liked was his battle with Wolverine.
