For the one who said Whisky In The Jar, that was most famously done by Thin Lizzy, but I think they may have covered it also.

Also, I find it hard to pick covers which aren't on a par or better than the originals. Fitzy, IMO, "Blue Monday" and "Personal Jesus" covers you mentioned can't touch the originals (although they are good)....but just my opinion.

Did anyone just say Hounds of Love by the Futureheads? If not, you should. Because thats how you improve on an original. Ditto on whoever said BRMC's Seven Nation Army, I now actually prefer it to any White Stripes song and probably any BRMC song too.

4 Friji Pink: House of the Rising Sun ( Animals)

House of the Rising Sun is actually an old folk song, it's was not written by any memberoof the Animals. There are several versions (although the rights to the organ parts are owned by one of them, which has caused bitterness in the band for many years)

"Fade to Black" by Disturbed (Metallica)

"Simple Man" by Shinedown (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

"Turn the Page" by Metallica (Bob Segar)

"Sweet Dreams" by Marilyn Manson (?)

"Astronomy" by Metallica (Blue Oyster Cult)

"Another Brick In the Wall" by KoRn (Pink Floyd)

"Thunder Kiss '65" by Godsmack (White Zombie)

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by Spineshank (The Beatles)

"Kashmir" by Angra (Led Zeppelin)

"Shout 2000" by Disturbed (?)

That should do the trick. I'm both surprised and not surprised that nobody mentioned Disturbed's cover of "Fade to Black", as not many people know of it, but I'm sure more would know if it by now, as they did it 2 years ago. They didn't cover the WHOLE song, but just half of it, but it's good nontheless. It's on the Music As A Weapon 2 Tour DVD/CD.
