Oh my god!!! What a fucking album!!

It's got all the elements of classic old school SOAD, but theres also new experimental stuff in there, especially on the likes of "Radio/Video" and "Old School Hollywood". I think their finest moments on the CD is "Sad Statue", it is purely classic SOAD style but with nice new bits in it. Also "Old School Hollywood" is a brilliant track with some really bone crunching riffs and a some Daft Punk style Electonic Voices by Serj, very interesting style.

The album on a whole, is just brilliant.

I'm not a huge SOAD fan anyway, but listening to BYOB over again... it has a few catchy parts, but I don't see whats all the hype about. A few other ones were ok... It's an ok album, not really my thing though.

I was informed by Gaby that I should check out the NIN album, so I may do that one next.

You got your "advance copy" the same day the album leaked online eh? ;)

The album's awesome, but my major complaint is that it is so ridiculously short (11 tracks, 36 minutes). If "Hypnotize" is this short, they probably should have released a double disc. Hell, if "Hypnotize" is this short, they could have released both on one disc. My personal favorite track is "Violent Pornography" for Serj's vocals.

I just creamed myself.

I am loving SOAD with a passion now. Bring on the second album.

Guest George

I heard DYOD....

I was horribly dissapointed... everyone was claiming this song as if it was a new anthem, which it wasn't...

I'll probably hear a lot from them on the radio for the months to come, and if the other songs sound anything like DYOD, might as well turn my radio off.

I thought Cigaro and BYOB rocked.

They have nothing on Radio/Video, Violent Pornography and Lost In Hollywood.

I think the only two tracks I don't love are Sad Statue and The Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song.

Ok I heard it for the first time and thought, thats a good album.

But, the second time I really just fell in love with it. It was unbelievable

Sad Statue is absolutly amazing, Radio/Video is top quality, Question, Old School Hollywood, argh its all brillant.

With all the hype I expected to be dissapointed, but here it is, and it's just mint.
