I do have Freeview in my house right now, but ive lost the remote and not bothered to replace it. The last two places i have lived couldn't even pick up Freeview. The location of the house im moving to in September (literally a minute away) can't recieve Freeview.

I think it makes sense given his current gimmick of '10 year old'. It enables the writers to really show his age with his short attention span.
