To be fair, Joan Jett isn't emo...nor are Anti-Flag and NOFX.

Side note: SLC Punk is my favorite movie :)

The line up REALLY could have been better....Smoke Or Fire, Street Brats, Pennywise, Lars Frederiksen...I could go on. But I'm content with it, due to Against Me! and The Bouncing Souls being two of my favorite bands.

Damn, I think it's an awesome tour this year. Problem is, me and my friends can't decide whether to go see the show in Columbia, MD (only an hour and a half away from us) or the show in Pittsburgh, PA (almost 3 hours away, but it has AFI), so we are kind of in a pickle. I'm sure we'll come up with something soon...

With some of the bands on there (Buzzcocks, The Germs) they only play a few of the shows on the Warped Tour, like 6 or so. Add to the fact that they play 30 minute sets, it isn't worth paying 30-50$ to see the concert.

Exactly my point, which is why I'd be better off seeing them solo, with a few supporting bands, if that ever happened.

The Germs? I totally scrolled over that and didn't see that they were playing. While it'd be nice the see the Germs, they would be tough to swallow considering Darby Crash has been dead for 20 some years. His wild antics were part of the appeal that made the Germs a fun band to see live. Do you know if the Germs will have Lorna Doom, Pat Smear, and Don Bolles?

Fun fact for you punk rockers, Darby Crash's death happened a day before John Lennon was shot. Crash's death was a suicide, which probably want largely unnoticed due to Lennon's death the following day.

One more fun Germs fact. They were originally going be in the movie Cheech and Chong's "Up in Smoke", but for whatever reason (probably their wild antics) they were omitted. The movie does feature the Dils (a personal favorite) and the Alice Bag Band. The Alice Bag Band also starred in the Penelope Spheeris documentary "Decline of Western Civilization" along with the Germs. Penelope Spheeris is probably best known for directing "Wayne's World".

I was pretty pissed when I found out that the AFI show was actually the Warped Tour, because normally I'm not a huge fan of the lineup... but this year's "Emo-Fest" is something that I'm probably going to cream my pants over, repeatedly. I'm going, and I'm fucking stoked about 90% of the bands that I've heard already. I'm going to check out the ones that I haven't. This fucking rules!

Bullet for m Valentine

Protest The Hero

The only ones that would make me half want to go.

And was it only me that doesn't really rate Against Me!? I checked out some of their stuff a while back but I just didn't really like it :ohwell:

Only three bands I'm really excited for this year: Motion City Soundtrack, the Bouncings Souls, and Saves the Day. When I first saw Saves the Day I immediately thought it was going to be Story of the Year, I always get those too mixed up... SotY is terrible.

This year isn't that great in terms of good bands, but there aren't so many terrible ones: Yellow Card, Fall Out Boy... that crap I was subjected to. No Dropkick Murphys or Floggin Molly this year either... sucky.

I went two years ago and the Sounds cancelled last minute, which pissed me off. I'm not too happy that the Warped Tour seems to be going more in the direction of the whole screamo thing, but Underoath and Saosin put on really good shows when I saw them. As usual, I go for Anti-Flag.

Any word on specific line-ups yet? I wanna know who's actually scheduled for Calgary.

Now that's a festival. There's a ton of bands I'd like to see, and they're coming to Nashville a month before my birthday. If I get a job now I might be able to afford the tickets. Awesome.
