Damnit, I'll say it. Given the context of the album and APC's style, their version of "Imagine" was good. Is it better than Lennon's original? Not even by "I paid Tony Schiavone to hawk this" standards. But damnit, I think it was perfectly fine.

Now, Avril Lavigne's version of "Imagine", her version of "Fuel", and Shawn Colvin's downright should-be-illegal cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy"...those I do not support.

I wouldn't disagree regarding Lennon's solo career since I don't even like the original immensely myself, but that doesn't diminish how awful and dull APC's cover is. At the very least I can find the original to be a somewhat pleasant-sounding song, if not the beautiful anthem or whatever that it's presented as, which is far more than I can say for the cover itself.

Personally, I liked what (I percieved) the cover to be going for, but then again, I'm not a huge fan of the original itself.
