I guess we're lacking rugby fans here, huh? Where are all the Aussies? :P

Can't see the England game for logistical reasons, but watched all the others so far. France were fucking shocking for a team with an outside chance of winning the cup. Otherwise it's been pretty much business as usual.

I got a free £10 bet with Betfair as part of a promotion online, so I put a tenner on Canada winning their pool ¬_¬ My mate then bet me a much more serious tenner that they "won't even beat Japan". So we'll see :P

Everyone loves predictions, so:

Pool A:

South Africa

England

Samoa

Tonga

USA

(and that's only patriotism creeping in. I won't be at all surprised if Samoa kick us out).

Pool B:

Australia

Wales

Fiji

Canada

Japan

Pool C:

New Zealand

Scotland

Italy

Romania

Portugal

Pool D:

Ireland

Argentina

France

Georgia

Namibia

I was slightly surprised with France going down to the Argies, but i think Argentina could be a sleeper team in this tournament. I dont think England are gonna manage to retain though, the team isnt strong enough to topple the likes of New Zealand.

Hello.

I didn't know the score of England-US. That's surprising to say the least. Did anyone here catch that match? I'm curious as to what caused it to be as close as it was.

Argentina and France both played quite average, and there were several scrappy parts of the game. Nevertheless, Argentina did deserve to win that game.

My dad stayed up last night to watch the Australia-Japan game, and I didn't, so I heard about the result this morning, but apparently at the TAB (place where people bet on things) Japan were given a 50 point headstart, meaning Australia would have to defeat Japan by more than 50 points for it to count as a win. 91-3 is an absolute hammering, though, and I wasn't expecting that at all.

I will personally be surprised if Australia wins, and I'm thoroughly expecting South Africa to win. Of course, a lot can change between now and then, so take that with a grain of salt.

It's not their fault, they had to play two matches in three hours and were saving their best team for the game against Honduras.

I never knew that, Still they cant have been THAT tired they scored 17 friggin' points.

Ireland Vs. Namibia was an absolute shambles. After that, we really have to cop on to ourselves to get out of this group. We still won and got the bonus point but Namibia had so much possession in the second half and played better, scoring two tries which really shouldn't be happening when we've got aspirations to win the Cup.

On another note anybody see South Africa against Samoa. Bryan Habana pwns all.

Canada didn't do too badly. I am pleased.

I have missed international Rugby, it's been so long. Pretty sure I'm only gonna watch it on the computer 'cause MY GOD THE COMMENTATORS, MY EARS, THEY BLEED.

Some entertaining matches this past weekend too, looking forward to tomorrow's.
