Suuper Bowl Sunday Bitches

I can't believe I was rooting for Eli to get MVP, but after THAT pass, he deserved it. Good on you Giants, you slayed the demon admirably. I'm not going to take a shot at the Hoody, I think he genuinely thought the clock had run out or something. Should've stuck around after the handshake, but whatever, no big deal.

What is a big deal is the fact that willhill's site wouldn't work properly so I couldn't place my bets on the Giants winning and on Tynes getting the first points. Fucking potential 50-100 quid missed out on :(

Best Super Bowl I've ever seen, might even beat out the Music City Miracle and last year's AFC Championship for best NFL game I've ever watched. We'll see.

Tom Petty was a disappointment though, I was expecting better from him. Not four songs of "verse-chorus-guitar solo-chorus-guitar solo-done".

And I look forward to waking up and seeing Bill Simmons claim that Mercury Morris paid off the refs to call the game in the Giants' favour.

In the interets of fairness, since we rip the Pats to shreds for being dirty dirty bastards (here's looking at you "sweep-the-leg" Vrabel), I noticed a Giants player get up off Kevin Faulk by leaning his right knee into Faulk's crotch, completely unnecessary.

But then, Vrabel held Bradshaw down on the batted ball play for about twenty minutes, and when Eli scrambled at the end, he was pinned to the ground to stop him getting to the line to call the next play. Oh, and HGHarrison was yanking a ball out of a receiver's hand about five minutes after the play had been called dead, so I guess it evens out right?

Oh, and that shot of Brady, I think it was in the third quarter, that look of sheer frustration as he came off the field, like "why won't they let us win?" was priceless, I want it for my desktop wallpaper.

(disclaimer: I actually like Tom Brady, he's a fantastic quarterback and it's a shame he and Wes Welker are saddled with a bunch of cheats and selfish douchebags)

First of all, hats off to the New York Football Giants. I had been impressed with their other playoff wins, and I admit, didn't think they had it in them to win tonight. I wasn't willing to go against Brady/Bellichek in a Super Bowl. I was wrong, and I couldn't be happier.

I think it may be because of all those annoying ass commercials, but I really don't like Peyton. But I am slowly becoming a fan of Eli. He reminds me alot of myself, where he is usually quiet and people take it the wrong way. He's just a nice guy that keeps to himself.

As for Bellichek leaving the field early, it was classless, cowardly, and selfish. Those of you that say otherwise, must clearly not have ever played any type of athletics. I played football, basketball, and lacrosse in high school and lacrosse in college. If any of my coach's had left the field with time still left on the clock, leaving all of us out there, he would have lost all respect from my teammates and myself. I realize its the Super Bowl and he is upset. The whole New England roster was upset, as well. It's no excuse to basically walk out on the guy's that got you to that point. If I were a Patriot player, I'd ask to be traded, because I would not play for a man that walked out on me. He is a heck of a coach, but he is a very small man.

Considering the circumstances, I'd say the Eli Manning sack-avoiding to David Tyree miracle catch, is one of the greatest plays ever. I'm sure you can find it on YouTube by now.

I was hoping the Giants would've kicked a field goal at the end instead of kneeling to end the game, just to piss of Bellicheck and Brady. Show them how it feels like to have the score run up on them when they knew the game was over those selfish pricks. Also, I say good for the Patriots, especially after what I read in the newspaper that day. According to the news, the Patriots pattented the terms "19-0" and "19-0: The Perfect Season". It also said that upon hearing that, New York pattented "18-1", so fuck you Brady. Looks like Seau's gonna be back another year haha. I just wish my Miam Dolphins didn't suck so bad this past year, but hats off to the G-Men, especially the Defense. I say the MVP should've been given to Tuck, he played a hell of a game, and remember not only was the D-Line giving pressure, the entrie D did. Safeties blitzing, Kawika and the other linebackers blitzing and pounding away on Brady.

The ending was the greatest single ending to any Super Bowl that I have ever seen. The Eli Escape and the Tyree Grab will be shown on a loop on ESPN as one of the greatest Super Bowl moments ever.

I also remember hearing that the G-Men weren't going to get shit for pressure on Brady all game.... yeah look how that turned out. The Pats O-Line gave out Tom Brady like pornstars give out blowjobs.
