The Inevitable Summer Transfer Market Topic

So Chelsea have officially signed Daniel Sturridge with a fee to be decided by a tribunal.

And apparently Perez has said that two more signings will complete his overhaul of Real Madrid. Hmm. I see either them getting Ribery or Xabi Alonso and then maybe looking at a big name defender to finish it off.

Funny me and my friend were talking about Owen and the possibility of United signing him just a few days ago.

I think Sir Alex has been monitoring him for a while, we have been linked with Owen for the past year and I am interested to see how this turns out.

Berbatov is excellent at creating chances, last season there were loads of games where he played in a good pass and the likes of Tevez/Rooney weren't there to capitalize either because they were out of position or perhaps too tired from tracking back. Before the signing of Berbatov last season when we were drawing and winning 1-0 the fans were crying out for a goal poacher..someone who stays in the box.

Not to mention Owen stands a better chance of scoring goals with Berbatov/Rooney/Carrick instead of Ameobi/Carrol/Guthrie.

Blackburn looking to sign Christian Vieri so Ceefax says.

THE LEt says its bullshit and they are quite reliable. Owen only scores goals? Yeah, well, only goals wins matches. Now, who was the Man Utd fan in here who said he would cry if they signed him?

Now Platini can forget about Real Madrid and be more concerned about Man Utd signing 16-year-old Italians before they can sign a professional contract in their home country. Everything will be right in the world again.
