I think the Dez suspension is over the top for the crime. Especially considering Mr. KO up in Oregon is coming back this season.

I imagine that it's probably more to do with the fact that he lied about it rather than the actual infraction.

There is no imagining to it, the NCAA flat-out said it was because he lied. But on one hand you have someone who has been clean, no issues, and simply trained with Deion Sanders in the off-season, of which you can go back to DMN's post about alums going back, and then you have someone who KO's another kid on national TV and they look the other way and allow the team and conference to handle it of which allows him to return later this year.

VT loses again, they're out. Ohio St loses again, they're out. Nebraska/Kansas both went down, so there will be no 'spoiler' from the Big 12.

TCU rolled, Boise won, BYU won. This trend needs to continue and everything will be great at the end of the year.

Boise has been beating teams with pulses for quite a while now. As for BYU, I'm not submitting them for anything except to help out TCU. As long as BYU doesn't lose the rest of the way except for against TCU, it helps the Horned Frogs seeing as how they beat Oklahoma.

STORRS, Conn. -- A University of Connecticut football player died Sunday following an on-campus stabbing, hours after the team's victory over Louisville.

Twenty-year-old Jasper Howard of Miami, a junior and starting cornerback, was stabbed during a fight early Sunday. A message posted on the university's Web site said the fight and stabbing happened near Hillside Road, which is near the center of the Storrs campus. The perpetrator was still at large.

University president Michael Hogan told The Associated Press that the stabbing is a tragedy for the entire university community. He says state police are working with campus police.

A message with UConn police was not immediately returned.

Howard was credited with 11 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in UConn's 38-25 victory Saturday over Louisville. He led the Big East in punt returns last season.

Just coming to post that ...

I like the rankings how they are for the first one actually. Both Boise/TCU already being in the top eight is fantastic, especially when at the bare minimum one of the other six of those eight WILL lose. I'm not exactly sold on Texas going undefeated either.
