Yeah really, I don't see this as bad news for P&R at all. From a less business-oriented, more selfish standpoint I'd prefer if they went even further with it and spread the shows out even more, I'd rather watch one show more weeks than two shows fewer weeks.

That puts Community up against Big Bang...

I read somewhere that NBC pretty much accepted the fact that Big Bang Theory is going to beat them, considering BBT has been dominating American Idol in recent weeks. Plus, apparently 30 Rock did even worse than Community was doing, and it pretty much confirmed that nothing they put up will beat BBT.

We're still getting the same amount of P&R. I hope Community does well enough upon return to get a 4th season, I don't know what the likelihood of that is, but I'm guessing a suitable finale will be written just in case they don't get it.

Community has wrapped for the season already in filming, but regardless tvbythenumbers believes its a safe bet to be renewed because its close to syndication.

The cast of Community play Trivial Pursuit. Posted in December, but new to me. Donald Glover, Chevy Chase, Jim Rash, and Dan Harmon make the best parts.

To be honest, if this was always meant to be a one-season arc then I'm curious as to what it's meant to actually accomplish.

If that's always been the plan, barring any late-season developments, I can at least agree with that writer on Robert basically being a concession after Michael left.

The only reason I can think of is to provide an intimidating authority that Andy must deal with while rising to the occasion of management. If that's the case, why not make it Robert?

But, again, what happens when he's gone and the show continues?

In other news, has 30 Rock been really good lately or am I just trying to make up for lost quality with the lack of Community? I thought the Dark Knight spoof was great (if not a few years late), IKEA was hilarious (I was dumped in an IKEA once, so it hit especially close to home), Kristen Schaal is always fun even if she's playing Mel from Flight of the Conchords, and if I could remember what last week's episode was about it would go here.

A tremendous interview with the women of Community's cast, as well as writer Megan Ganz.

Seriously, outside of the AV Club's walkthrough of Season 2 with Dan Harmon, this is probably the best and most revealing piece on the show I've read.

Finally caught up on everything from last week. Thought 30 Rock was excellent, Parks and Rec pretty good and The Office actually really solid by their standards. Amazing what happens when characters can just interact without always going for a punchline.

I watched The Office and Up All Night yesterday. Very solid episodes for both, I'm continuing to like how the Florida stuff has worked out for the former.
