Lee Evans was traded to the Ravens for a 4th rounder. This is low risk/high reward given the team's obvious need for a downfield target. He's not an elite WR but I would expect something like 6 TDs and 700 yards from him. More important is how he'll open up more space for Boldin and Rice who should be the team's top two passing priorities.

And Buffalo continues to shitcan the season before it even starts.

Andrew Luck or bust I guess.

Not saying he would have been, but he was doomed from the get-go being drafted by Buffalo. :P

It's a battle between them and Miami, no doubt.

Andrew Luck is Washington's to lose, that team is garbage at just about every level.

Arizona was in the running for Evans apparently, but I wouldn't have liked us giving up a 4th for what would end up being a 1 or 2 year rental at the most, especially considering his greatest attribute (speed) is already starting to diminish. Oh well. He fits Cam Cameron's fetish for non-stop deep routes.

Uhhhhh no. Didn't you hear Rex Grossman's prediction of them winning the East? You don't think he'd go out on that kind of ledge without knowing something we don't, do you? 'Skins have that division in the bag!

in LOL worthy news, the 49'ers have signed Daunte Culpepper during their current QB controversy. really? the guy who hasn't been in the league for TWO YEARS? the guy last famous for helping lead the Lions to 0-16?

Wow way to jump the gun. They're just bringing him in for a workout tomorrow. They haven't signed anybody yet. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the first of a few workouts though because they need to add a veteran of some sort since it's just Alex Smith and three rookies at QB.

Maybin is a massive bust, and who knows for what reason. A team with cap space might take the league minimum on him and see if their system helps him achieve his once-massive potential. It could be more the Bills not having coaches who can develop young players instead of young player not actually having the talent.

Aaron Curry has been a little better, but names like Orakpo and Matthews being taken long after them in the draft make those picks look pretty bad.

At 6'4, 228lbs, Maybin is small for the linebacker position at the NFL level. Maybe if he added some weight he could probably show some of that potential. With the right coaching, system and what not.

One of the few moves I can agree with this offseason. Maybin was a owaste of a roster spot from day one. He was supposed to be this badass passrusher and never got a sniff. He was lucky to seeb the field most games.

I know it's only one preseason game, but Merriman actually looked like his old self against the Bears. He'll probably blow his knee out in week one though.

I wouldn't use the Bears offensive line as any sort of litmus test for Merriman. They did the same to Ja'Marcus 'the human turnstile' Webb last year in Toronto. I'm not sure what pisses me off most, the Bears line continuing to be utter shite and the entire front office either denying it or being oblivious to it, or being forced to see that stupid epileptic sack dance due to the ineptness of the team I support.
