They've just shown it all on Final Score anyway, will never understand why they do that. Came back to find they'd missed several goals including of course Leicester taking the lead against us. Great strike by Norris at the end, absolutely hated the commentator whoever he was though.

Rotherham have appointed Crawley Town boss Steve Evans as their new manager.

The 49-year-old has led Crawley since 2007 - leading them to the Bue Square Bet Premier title last season and their first ever Football League campaign.

This season they have been challenging at the top of League Two, but face an FA charge after a brawl at Bradford.

Evans was Boston United manager between 1998 and 2007 but was suspended for 20 months and convicted of tax fraud while in charge at the club.

Evans was given a 12-month suspended sentence for disguising wages and bonuses as expenses at Boston.

The club was docked four points and fined £100,000 by the FA.

Boston were relegated from the Football League in 2007 and Evans and assistant Paul Raynor resigned shortly after.

Evans and Raynor signed new contracts at Crawley in February 2011 that ran until the end of the 2014 season.

During his time at Crawley he led the club to a record 105 points as they topped the Conference and saw his side earn a fifth round FA Cup tie at Manchester United.

Somewhat baffling. Does this mean everyone should start hating Rotherham now?

Bates is making his excuses for no decent signings already, here's a summary of what he's said today:

  • Because of the Olympics all the players, managers and agents are going to be away apparently.
  • Players, managers and agents are all on holiday early on in the summer.
  • Agents are unrealistic in their demands, particularly early in the window.
  • We've spent 13.5m on wages, agents fees, transfer fees, signing on fees, performance bonuses and related taxes this season (we turnover 30m+).
  • The cost of sacking Grayson and co. affects the funds (proven to be a fucking brilliant decision, by the way, Kenny)
  • Wants of squad of only 22-23 players next season
  • Apparently Reading's billionaire owner hasn't invested much which is proof that even billionaire's are feeling the pinch of the recession.

Have I ever mentioned I want this horrible cunt to die and/or get the fuck out of my club?

Oh and we're losing 1-0 to Derby but that's to be expected nowadays.

West Ham must be risking financial trouble if they don't go up; a squad of Robert Green, Carlton Cole, Nicky Maynard, John Carew, Kevin Nolan and Julian Faubert managed by Sam Allardyce can't come cheap.

The penalty did seem harsh, but why did he have his hands up? If he keeps them by his side then you don't put yourself in the position to concede a pen. I think he was protecting his face to be honest, in which case he's a soft bastard.
