From the looks of things, Allerdyce is going to try and sue Kean because it was slanderous and unprofessional.

But it's not like Kean is actually going to get sacked, his agent owns some controlling shares in the club which means that as long as Kean is manager, he gets paid 20%

I suspect Summers is right, the odds have dropped because people have put money on it, not because it's happening. Look at Rafa last summer.

To be honest, Sky really shouldn't have a betting company attached to their brand if they have a news channel.

Because stuff like this is a self fulfilling prophecy: Sky reports rumor, idiots go and bet, rumor becomes stronger because the bookies are "never wrong", more people bet etc. Sky end up profiting from the end of it after Villa sign some incredibly left wing option from Romania.

I don't dislike Mick, but he didn't have a great year. My only issue is that this recycling that occurs for footie managers is very frustrating. Give some new guys a go!

Giving new people a go is a big risk. It is safe to go for a proven manager.

Sadly the only way for new guys to get a go seems to be to get a side promoted from the Championship. To be fair, at least Curbishley and Hoddle aren't linked with every job any more.

Mick's a good manager, but if he took over at Villa he'd be the wrong person at the wrong time. He'd be perfect for, say, Hull. Villa need a manager in the Lambert/Martinez style.

This. Kean is flying to India tonight to discuss his future anyway, so if anything is to happen it will likely be tomorrow or Thursday.
