You have to buy a submarine ($2.2 million base price) to be able to access the heist, and once you're on Cayo Perico, there's tons of stuff to scope out - weed farms, coke lockups, art and gold being stashed in the main compound, and smaller things like guard clothing and bolt cutters and grappling hooks to help you when it comes time to do the heist proper. I've scoped out the bare minimum and plan on going back to look around for more. Also, because of this update, Scott Storch, Dr. Dre, DJ Pooh and Jimmy Iovine are canon in the GTA HD universe. Have NPC models and everything. Same for Moodymann and Keinemuzik (a German techno group). In what I'm pretty sure is a first for any GTA game from the 3D or HD universe, there's also branded clothing that isn't just a parody of a real brand (Keinemuzik have their own clothing line and items from it can be bought for your GTA Online character to wear). 3 hours ago, metalman said: DJ Pooh lol Is Moodymann your brother? MalaCloudy Black Posted December 16, 2020 Report Share Posted December 16, 2020 You can only do a character transfer once, so if you intend to go back to that character on PS4, you'd be shit out of luck. I transferred my PS3 character to PC and when I started playing on Xbox I had to start a new character (but my old character is still tied to my account, and I can play as them on PC). MalaCloudy Black Posted December 17, 2020 Report Share Posted December 17, 2020 I think I've scoped out maybe half of the Cayo Perico island, potentially a bit more than that. All the prep work for the heist can be done solo, since this is the first heist where you don't need at least 2 people. I've just been kind of going along doing preps at a leisurely pace since the DLC came out and I'm finally ready to start. I think I may take a couple people (or a full crew, who knows) along for my first go-round, since if you do it solo you're limited to only being able to carry certain loot (you can't carry gold bars or artwork solo, for example, but you can carry stashes of cash, weed, and coke). I wound up doing that heist solo to get a feel for it. It went well at first but I killed a guard and another guard that was patrolling the compound found the body and from that point on it shifted from being a stealth mission to fighting my way into (and out of) the compound, but I eventually got it done (with a couple restarts). I'm going to keep trying to go at it the stealthy way until I've got the hang of it. Also, since I got spotted and had to fight my way out, I didn't get to grab any of the secondary targets. There was coke, weed and cash stashed at the northernmost docks but I felt like fighting my way to it was a good way to die. I think next time I'm going to do a HALO jump (wtf is a HALO jump?) from a stealth plane, land at the airstrip, and work my way to the compound from there. I'm game. Got nothing else to do. I'm going to set the heist up again (and maybe set up the a casino heist if I feel like it) and knock out most of the preps. It's a bit nice, with this heist, the prep work generally only takes me about an hour. It feels like the casino heist preps take a lot longer.
