Of which band/singer do you have the most albums?

I've been sorting through my CDs, working out which order to send them back to the UK so that I don't have to go too long without albums that I life. Sure I could just copy everything across to the computer and my phone BUT I like to have CDs around if I like them.

Anyway unsurprisingly it turns out I have more albums by Blur than anyone else.

Including compilations and B-side albums I have:

Leisure

Parklife

The Special Collectors Edition

The Great Escape

Blur

13

Think Tank

The Best Of

Midlife: A Beginner's Guide

So I looked a bit deeper into my collection and found....

POLYSICS

A.D.S.R.M!

Live In Japan

6-D (covers)

Eno

Polysics or Die!!!!

Now Is The Time!

We Ate The Machine

Oh! No! It's Heavy Polysick!!!

PLUS a live show DVD.

FEEDER

Swim (original blue version)

Swim (re-release red version)

Polythene

Yesterday Went Too Soon

Another Yesterday...

Echo Park

Picture of Perfect Youth (B-sides)

Which ain't bad considering I've got no interest in Feeder post-Echo Park.

SIGUR ROS

Agaetis Byrjun

( )

Takk

Hvart/Heim

Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust

PLUS their DVD.

What about you lot?

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, at a guess. If you include other Nick Cave stuff (Grinderman, The Birthday Party, Boys Next Door, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, soundtracks, audio books, spoken word), then it's him by a country mile.

He'd probably be closely followed by Tom Waits, as I've got almost all of his stuff, Motorhead and Neil Young, who's been creeping up the list slowly over the last couple of years.

Jeff Buckley would be up there too, which is ridiculous considering he only released one studio album. Off the top of my head, I have:

Grace

Grace Legacy Edition

Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk

Songs To No One

Mystery White Boy

Live At Sin-é (Legacy Edition)

Live At L'Olympia

Grace Around The World

The Grace EPs

Sun Ra is high on the list too, higher if you include the Sun Ra Arkestra after his death, as I have two or three of their albums on top of eight or nine Sun Ra albums.

Devin Townsend. I have all of his solo stuff (plus the first Ziltoid album), his two albums with the Devin Townsend Band, the five Strapping Young Lad records and the four albums he did as the Devin Townsend Project. Honestly, the only LP I am missing is Punky Brüster plus some rare demos and EPs but otherwise, he is probably the one I have most of. Then follows Moonsorrow where I have all their albums except Suden Uni (which I will probably never get since it seems to be out of print indefinetely).

If we're counting live albums and best ofs and so on, I have 35 Bob Dylan albums - and I still don't have any of his "bad" albums! Might get them one day. Also have 35 albums by Frank Zappa, same story.

But most of them are my dad's.

For the biggest collection I've amassed myself, it would be Ryan Adams. I have 12 of his albums I think.

Just bands that have been around forever and keep churning them out. Without counting its between The Charlatans, Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals or Teenage Fanclub, at pretty much every studio album plus bits.

Pearl Jam - 4 (Ten, Vs., Vitalogy & Backspacer) and the 2 free live albums I was entitled to download from buying Backspacer.

I also have both of Eddie Vedder's solo albums, so even if you counted them... not a lot. :shifty:

If we're counting compilations, live albums and such, Nirvana. I've got the 3 studio albums, about 4-5 live albums, and tonnes of b-side compilation albums. Strictly studio albums, almost certainly Beatles, I've got them all.
