Characters you hate (that you aren't supposed to)

Eric Matthews from Boy Meets World, he went from the big brother who went from worrying about the normaltroubles of high school life, to a water downed Joey as the show 'matured'.. to finally becoming a borderline mentally challenged parody od himself. By the time the series finale came along, he was just a pathetic thing to watch.

I loved Eric the first four seasons or so. He was great until he went full retard.

I don't know if we were supposed to like him, but Wesley Crusher from TNG. I feel like everybody did anyway, but I don't think the producers wanted fans to hate the character.

Of current shows, I don't know why, but I've never much cared for Gus on Psych. I realize he's integral to the team, but when there are episodes in which he barely features, I tend to enjoy those more, and I've finally realized the reason.

And finally, Buffy. You know, THAT Buffy. I enjoyed the show for all of the other characters, but the moment that Angel became a series, I switched to that and only looked back when I found out Buffy was ending, and that was mostly because Spike had become a hero of sorts.

Pretty sure everyone hates Wesley at one point or another. But why do you hate Buffy?

I said it in the general TV thread and I'll say it here - Wes is a good character when he's not the focus. He's the perfect character when you need to exposite some dialogue, or need a good sidekick for someone, but any episode where he's the lead makes me...

As for Buffy, I get that during season six. I really couldn't be arsed with her during that season, the rest I loved.

I dug dark Buffy, that was an interesting change of pace -- and gave us the whole Buffy/Spike dynamic.

Going on the whole Buffy theme..i couldn't stand Tara. I know the writers wanted us/me to feel sorry for her, especially what happened with her family and all, but i just couldn't find it in me to feel sorry for her. Like at all.
