So a month or so after Veronica Campbell-Brown tested positive for diuretics, now Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson have all tested positive for various banned substances. Usual excuses coming out (though Gay's just said he's "been let down" by somebody), but you have to wonder if the net is starting to close in on other big names - namely, Usain Bolt.

Really does make a mockery of track and field in particular though, with the World Championships just around the corner. They've all pulled out of them, of course, but it's just silly really.

Usain Bolt has never looked like he had the type of body you usually associate with these types of issues. Like, he has always appeared rangy, rather than big.

I know that isn't the only types of banned substances you can take, but the guys who always get busted seem to be bulging out in all the wrong places.

I'm annoyed at them for this. In this day and age they surely don't think they can get away with it. What Gay has said in light of the positive test just makes it sound like he was trying to conceal it, whereas Powell has denied taking it intentionally. Very disappointing anyway, especially with the World Championships right around the corner.

There wouldn't be anyone left for the "non-doped up league" when people struggled to break the 10 second mark in the men's 100. Sprinters almost have to be on something if you know them by name, since every few years another "big name" gets popped.

QFE, basically.
