Chevin Calloway signed with the Razorbacks. 4-star prospect, ranked 92nd nationally overall by Rivals. 4-star prospect Montaric Brown signed as well, after some initial doubts and fears that he might go to Oklahoma State - both Brown and Calloway had offers on the table from schools like Alabama and LSU. IIRC, Calloway marks the highest ranked prospect to sign with Arkansas since 2009.

Koilan Jackson signed as well. He's the son of radio analyst Keith Jackson, and brother to Keith Jackson Jr., who played for the Razorbacks a few years ago. Alabama was also interested in him and some services rated him as a 4-star prospect as well.

We've also got two 4-star junior college recruits who signed in December. So far, it's shaping up like a potentially great Razorbacks team imo.

Poor guy. Fuck him in the bum'ole.

Notre Dame's recruiting class was a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, just a month ago they brought in almost a completely new staff, managed to hold on to every single commit they had, despite finishing 4-8, and also got three kids who were still uncommitted to sign on.

But last year our severe lack of depth at cornerback caused FIVE true freshman to play. Surely that would indicate that you sign some more corners this recruiting class right? Wrong. We struck out on every single cornerback target and that is the one position where we didn't get at least one kid.

But to end this post on a positive note, we got four four-star o-lineman and a huge upside three-star. And we signed two of the top three tight ends in the country, which is wonderful considering Chip Long's offense runs a two tight end set around 65% of the time.

Maryland had a shockingly good class, for Maryland.

Ole Miss had a terrible class, Hugh Freeze might have let the ship sail on him moving up to a bigger school too. 2-3 years ago he could have had his pick of the litter, but now I'm not so sure.

The usual suspects rounded out the top of the recruiting pile again.

Baylor's strength coach fired after arrest in prostitution sting

Quote

McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara told the Tribune-Herald that Washington, 33, was arrested shortly after midnight on Saturday, after Washington came to a local hotel to meet a prostitute. He was charged with solicitation of prostitution charge, a class B misdemeanor, and released the same day after posting a $1,000 bond, the newspaper reported. No other information about what happened was reported in local media, and my request for any police reports didn’t get a response back before the end of the business day.

UNC's quarterback Kevin Olsen, younger brother of NFL player Greg Olsen, has been arrested on rape charges.

Quote

According to Northrup, Olsen and the 23-year-old woman went out drinking Saturday night but had gotten separated. During their time apart, Northrup said, Olsen sent the woman a text message threatening to kill her.

Eventually, the pair reunited and used Uber to get back to Olsen’s apartment early Sunday morning. There, Northrup said, Olsen remained upset about the evening “and some events in his life.” He grabbed a phone charger and wrapped it around his neck, threatening to kill himself, the prosecutor said.

The victim, according to Northrup, calmed Olsen down. But the argument flared up again. Olsen first struck her with a pillow, then punched her in the face, Northrup said.

He then assaulted her three times, Northrup said, with the victim crying at some point during the attack.

USF defensive back Hassan Childs shot after allegedly pulling a gun on a man in a parking lot.

Quote

According to the Tampa Bay Times, it’s unclear how the disagreement began. It ended with Childs and Jovanni Jimenez, 26, in the parking lot of a Tampa apartment complex. (It is unclear whether Childs and Jimenez knew one another prior to last night.) Childs allegedly pulled a gun on Jimenez, who was accompanied by his wife and child. Jimenez then pulled his own gun and shot Childs three times in the upper arm and torso. He has claimed the shooting was in self-defense.

I hate guns. Haaaaaaaaaate guns. But yeah, if I had a gun and was with my wife and kids, and somebody pulled a gun out, it'd definitely be him getting the bullet instead of them. Three shots seems a bit excessive though. Not sure if you can use self-defense when you used the guy as targeting practice.

Texas A&M player's defense against indecent exposure charges: "bad case of jock itch"

Quote

In the first case, Merritt allegedly pulled out his penis and “rubbed it an up-and-down motion” while sitting right next to a tutor.

I didn't know that whipping it out and jerking it was a valid way to relieve jock itch. Huh.
