Great! I saw Moonlight but I still want to make time to watch Jackie

I felt like Jackie was on the cusp of being something so great - Portman is incredible, I've always been a fan of Pablo Lorrain's work and the score is overpowering in such a striking way. It's a film that could benefit from being chopped down a bit and tweaking some dialogue in scenes, but it's largely a traumatic and gripping watch, even if it's told unconventionally.

I can see how so many people have been put off though, especially audience's who expected something a little more conventional and straight-forward. I would've been into seeing that version to, but Jackie as it is is very much a character portrait.

EDIT: Forgot La La Land!

1. Arrival
2. Kubo & The Two Strings
3. Train to Busan
4. La La Land
5. The Nice Guys
6. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
7. Hell or High Water
8. Everybody Wants Some!!
9. Hunt for Wildepeople
10. Green Room (whilst it's described as a '2015' film on it's Wiki page, it's American and it's American release was Spring 2016).

Honourable mention: Moonlight, Your Name, Eddie the Eagle

And @GoGo Yubari, if you want an example for the country of origin rule, The Revenant. Released on Christmas Day 2015 in the US, but pretty much everywhere else in the world in 2016. :)

1. Deadpool

2. Sing

3. Captain America: Civil War

4. Zootopia

5. Suicide Squad

6. Free State of Jones

7. Hail, Caesar!

8. War Dogs

9. Jungle Book

10. Money Monster

I haven't seen Doctor Strange, Rogue One, Magnificent Seven, or Fantastic Beasts yet. Honorable mention to Deepwater Horizon (almost took the #10 spot), and I was disappointed with La La Land. (The song `City of Stars' was played a lot and sucked, and Ryan Gosling can't sing!)

Deadpool and Sing are the only two movies on my list that I saw in theaters (Sing in a second-run theater a few days ago), but that's not why they're ranked #1 and 2.

Kung Fu Panda 3 was a lot fun. All those movies are, except Ghostbusters because I haven't seen it yet.
