  1. I said to the people in work back before Christmas I'd love Redknapp at Liverpool, I'd never even considered him to be honest, and still can't see him leaving Spurs, a financially solid team with Champions League football to come to us, with so money and a Europa League place, we may persuade O'Neill or Hodgeson to leave, but not 'Arry, i still think we'll get Mark Hughes
  2. But who is Joe Peschi gonna be? As long as the actor who plays Spidey is a good actor, then he can be whatever race they want, just so long as he makes me believe he's Peter Parker and isn't Toby McGuire. There was a rumour going around about the kid from the Percy Jackson film taking the role, he'd be good I recon
  3. Spirit of Shankley, they're a bunch of twats, just like the Green and yellow lot at United, it won't do anything, burning some flags isn't going to stop Hicks and Gillet being almighty Twunts who think a club with almost £400m of debt is worth £800m.
  4. I'd love O'Neill, but he won't leave Villa, and I just get the feeling Hodgeson will stay put at Fulham rather than move to an unsettled team, so my money would be on Mark Hughes, who'll do ok, but whoever comes in is going to have to work with fuck all money and desperatley try to hold onto Torres, Mascherano and Gerrard, loose them and we're fucked,
  5. I'm Welsh, I'd have loved to see a welsh team in the premiership, and it just wasn't Cardiff's day, as soon as Bothroyd went off, they lost all shape. Nice to see Blackpool up, they're going to have to shore up the defence though, at times they looked shocking at the back, Chopra was carving them up, and if they do that with the likes of Drogba, Rooney or Torres, they'll leak goals.

    Doctor Who

I loved how much of a tribute to the Pertwee Years yesterday's episode seemed to be, with nods to Doctor Who and the Silurians, The Sea Devils, The Green Death and Inferno. I'm really excited to see how this series pans out, its jus wide open for so many things to happen, I'm keen to see how Moffat writes a series finale, after the grand scale of RTD's endings
  7. No, I posted before I read the whole thread, It made no fucking sense, carry on
  8. Its was a sequal about 10 years to late, it was always going to fail to be what the others were, but the others were OTT. The originals were set in the 30's when serials were about adventure, where as Indy 4 was set in the 50's when Sci-Fi B-Movies were in, Aliens kinda made sense in a way, it was just a little poorly scripted at times, but for the most part a bit of fun
  9. Pffft, that was random but good. Shirley Bassey looked really uncomfortable though. Only really sting there I dislike. Glee has all of a sudden made everyone play that song over and over again, it's a good song, but does everyone have to cover it now?
  10. May be the only person here who likes David cameron

  11. Jose really rates him though, so Inter could move for him, which may actually be a good move for Gerrard. Thing about City s that money talks, remember Barry and the "I ahve to leave Villa for Champions League football" then next thing he's gone to city after they threw money at him, they can spend what they want on wages and it may be enough to turn his head this time.
  12. So I'm reading today that gerrard is linked to Man City, I've also heard rumours of him moving abroad to Real or Inter (snd abroad is gonna be the best place for him if the rumours about him turn out true and end up in the papers). If I had to choose between Torres and Gerrard staying, then as much as I love him I'd let Stevie go, we'd be fucked without Torres and Gerrard has been subpar this season, if we can get over £30 million for him, and a significant amount of that is used on a replacement it would be good buissiness. I've heard good things about Wilson from a rangers season ticket holder I know, she said he could be another Hansen for us.
  13. Seeing as Wales are shit and havn't qualified, I'll be supporting England. Goalkeepers Davis James Robert Green Joe Hart Defenders Glen Johnson Jamie Carragher Ashley Cole Steven Warnock Rio Ferdinand John Terry Michael Dawson Matthew Upson Midfielders Steven Gerrard Frank Lampard Tom Huddlestone James Milner Adam Johnson Aaron Lennon Theo Walcott Michael Carrick Strikers Wayne Rooney Peter Crouch Jermaine Defoe Carlton Cole I'd possible drop Upson and add Zamora as a 5th striker, its all dependant on where needs most cover. Definatley wound't take Heskey, he's crap and is obviously allergic to scoring goals. Starting Eleven James G.Johnson Ferdinand © Terry A.Cole Lennon Lampard Carrick Gerrard Rooney Crouch

    Doctor Who

Was a strong two parter, best of the "early series doubles" since the show came back. Not too keen on River Song, far too smarmy and smug, the whole "i know your future but I'm not telling" worked really well in for the one story, but the more you drag it out it just becomes a bit over played and iratating. Amy just keeps getting better, she just bounces off Matt Smith's Doctor so well, very much like Donna worked so well with David Tennant. The Weeping Angles continue to be badass as always, they're just creepy. Just a bit of discussion about the rest of the episodes, so If you want no information, best not open it

    Doctor Who

It was what it was, nothing amazing but it wasn't as bad as some people are making out in my opinion. It's going to take some going to beat "Alright it's a Jammie Dodger, but I was promised tea!" as a line. Undecided on the new Daleks, dislike the hunchback, but the colours are a nice way of seperating out the different roles (will be interesting to see what the Eternal Dalek is). I may be alone, but I loved Spitfires in space, I thought it was cool. Matt Smith is a fantastic Doctor, I love his quirkyness and the slightly Pat Troughton feel to his Doctor. Love the way he callas Amy by her surname. Amy isn'y bad at all, she's a huge step up from Rose, better than Martha but I'm not sure if she's going to better Donna, but that was mostly down to Catherine Tate being amazing. Beast below wasn't bad, the pacing was a bit off, and the way Amy "got" the Doctor in episode two did feel like it whould have come in say episode 7 but overall it was good, Sophie Odenko was good, but you kind of expect that when you get people like her in the show. Eleventh Hour was great, a fantastic opener to the series, I can't really fault it at all.

    Doctor Who

Ye, I really enjoyed it, the whole issue with the gun needs to be seen in context before I get too worked up about it, and He's shot guns a few times, Earthshock springs to mind, so it's not that big of a deal. Matt Smith is brilliant, has quite a bit of Pat Troughton to him, I'm loving the whole manic energy. And Amy Pond has just become the best looking companion EVER. And I love James Corden in Doctor Who, I've wanted it for ages
  17. really I think that the economy is a great way of making things just that little bit trickier, it makes one or two promotions act as, for want of a better way of putting things, hard difficulty. It's easier to book TWE or WCCW that it would be to book a version of NWA:MC that's fucked financially, the local area is skint and has a depleted roster. I think that could give us some amazing diaries, and give people who want a challenge a good gaming experience. I still vote for Jericho to have the title, but TKz's idea of The Rock having the belt does sound awesome, that said I'm always going to be a big Rock fan.
  18. I actually hadn't thought of it in the respect of destroying NWA:MC, but that would actually add a nice little story, seeing as heyman has that whole thing with sabu over Raven leaving ECW, plus as C-Mil stated (although I do think he wasn't entirley serious), if Idol is carrying the recession into the iDOM world, then it could make sense.
  19. As far as NWA champion goes, why not Jericho? Considering Sting "passed the torch" to him, it would make sense for him to get a run at the top, unless you have a reason for him not to get the top title. As previously mentioned, ECW desperatly needs some fresh blood. I could see Punk fitting in nicely. Others I could see fitting in are Sabin and Shelly, Christopher Daniels and Monty Brown. It might be interesting to see someone from one of the big two turn up after leaving under a cloud or something. I could aslo see Kofi Kingston in ECW. Rocky Johnson Jr definatley needs to make the jump up to a bigger promotion, World Class would be my choice, but TWE would make sense as well. I agree that Calgary needs one or two non-canadian top level guys. Nigel makes sense, but it would also be interesting if Eddie Guerrero left mexico to join his Chavo in Canada.

cheers man, I may not be the most well known around here, but its a great place, and ill stick up for places I like

  21. There's only four spots left for RTWM storylines: One is for CAWs One is a Diva storline with Mickie James There will almost definatly be one for Cena, I'd also say HHH and Undertaker would have spots, seeing as they're on the cover and both huge names. That leaves one spot, and I'd guess it's either Rey Mysterio or if they have an ECW storyline it will be Christain.
  22. I should have done better there, and it's sodding typical that Ebanks-Blake goes off injured, I was expecting him to start scoring pritty sharpish. Tores did sod all either. Most of my points came from Defenders, thank you very much Matt Upson

    Doctor Who

I rewatched TND the other day, and it's not bad, not as good as other xmas episodes (I rewatched VotD the same day and enjoyed it much more, even if some of the characters are fucking anoying). The main problem I think with PotD is that it was a midseason filler episode strached out by 15 miniutes and expected to hold people until November and Waters of Mars, which isn;t what that sort of episode can do. An episode like Planet of the Dead is designed to act as a ligher break between darker episodes (like The Idiot's Lantern in series 2).
  24. I heard we wanted £30 million, and Madrid would only pay £25 mil, but the expected deal would be £28 million rising to about £30 million with add ons. I'd be very suprised if he was still here at the start of the season.
  25. Havn't seen a mention of the almost certain deal taking Alonso to Madrid for about £30 million. Everyone has a price, and Madrid have turned Xabi's head, and the way Rafa treated him last summer probably made his decision a hell of a lot easier. Still it's a good sum of money for him. And can we please buy a quality player to replace him and not Lee Cattermole. He's not bad, but no-where neer good enough to replace Xabi, and certainly not worth £12 million as the Telegraph have said the deal is going to be for. Only a couple of weeks ago we were linked with Cambiasso, Id rather him, or Jenas (not that we'vce been linked with him, and I'm going to get all kinds of stick for this, but I rate him). Oh and Arbeloa is off to Madrid as well for £4.5 million.
