  1. One of the true greats of english football. I think the Banner at St James summs it up best Sir Bobby Robson: Gentleman and Geordie RIP
  2. MGW

    Doctor Who

Ye when i saw that trailer, i pumped Spoiler: Click here to viewSimm is an awesome Master. The other cool thing is Timothy Dalton is the voice over, and is playing a Time Lord in the finale. Now is they could comfirm Sea Devils for series 5 I'll be a happy bunny
  3. Lantern is supposed to start filming in January, I believe... or maybe that's his other one, about him in the coffin... I can't remember. Anyways... they're still in the developmental stages with Deadpool... it's not written yet... I assume that he would be able to start filming on Deadpool as soon as they are ready for him. I would think Warner would include clauses to prevent him from portraying another Super-hero whilst he's contracted to play GL, to protect the brand so to speak. Not the worst casting ever, was really hoping they'd get Joquin Phoenix to play Hal, but Renolds isn;t a bad choice, better than Timberlake. Now don;t screw this up, I've been waiting for this film for years
  4. I used to really like Pennant, even got him on my home shirt when he signed, but the little shit rejected moves to Madrid because of wages, and I read somewhere he wanted to make sure Liverpool didn;t get a fee for him. What a cunt. The Ribery to Liverpool thing has got to be bollocks, but part of me desperatly wants to believe it's true despite rationally knowing we have no chance in hell of signing him. Would be awesome if we did though...
  5. The following contains spoilers NOT just for tonights episode, but for other things too Spoiler: Click here to view With Jack appearing in the Doctor Who finale, suposidly at the shadow proclimation. Could they possibly have it so Jack is convinced to return to Torchwood by The Doctor? Because he's the only person I could see conviincing Jack he's needed. That or they could use Captain John as a short term replacment, having Jack return at the end of the series or something? Apart from that it was amazing, really tense and harrowing,
  6. Spoiler: Click here to viewWhy the hell did Jack think walking into a room and telling the 456 to stop it or he'll get very cross was going to work? And I can't believe they killed Ianto! He was my favourite character, but it seems quite obvious he's being replaced by Lois, if there as a 4th series and the rumours it's getting canceled aren;t true
  7. I'm going to say that was...Jason Manford? If so, then yeah, I thought he was quite good and he was also decent on Live At The Apollo. Yeah, it was the Manford one...who I generally find 'okay', but Manford was fucking shit and easily the worst comic on. The Geordie woman was GREAT for a woman, her delivery was epic (I think it's the accent, cos Laverne even though she's not a 'comic' has the delivery as well), and the bloke with the moustache on about cleaning with cats/getting his dog drunk/fancying his daughters friends was great too. Manford...just, no. Turns out the guy's called John Bishop. Also, fingers crossed for the LEAST AMOUNT of Jo Caulfield possible...her and Gina Yashere make me weep. At least Yashere occasionally makes a good 'I'm Black' joke (throw enough shit some sticks), Caulfield is just not funny in the slightest. Porter's cute as hell...her delivery really irks me (as it does with most women), but she's cutesy-cutesy, so it works. Ye Gina Yashere was shite on tonights new one, as was Andy Parsons. Frankie was on form as usual, and for some reason "Tatty Bojangles" is a hugely funny phrase for tits They got some damn good stuff out of Michael Jackson tonight
  8. What the holy hell happened with the bolwing today? Not to take anything away from the awesome batting display from the ausie pair, but the bowling disnt click today, Sky were blaming the ball for not swinging, and i do think that it was an issue, as all the balls, especally from Anderson were easier to hit than usually they would be
  9. He was, The Doctor said so >_< The new prime minister looks like he should be Geofrery Palmer
  10. I'm goping to agree with Lost, i tried to get into it, i really did, I wanted to love it, just like my mates, but it just seemed that it was a load of guys in a room, they all put something on a piece of paper and pulled stuff out of a hat "And in this episode we're going to have a Polar Bear..."
  11. What!! Harold Saxon was the greatest PM ever! Even if he was insane...and The Master.... I'm loving the series so far, I've only really dipped in and out of Torchwood in series one and two, but I'm hooked. I think the 5 episode mini-series really suits the show. On a related note, did anyone hear/download the radio plays off Radio 4?
  12. THad to make some last miniute changes, Lee and Sidebottom out, Anderson and Clark in
  13. While I love most of it to death, Only Fools & Horses went too far. The final three were great, and it should have ended there, but it was brought back, and it was a step too far IMO. Friends didnt go on too long, it just went a bit sucky for series 7 and 8. And I think Simpsons has picked up again in the last season or so, I think its got its edge back, but that may just be me.
  14. Nooooo you want to support Liverpool, we have American owners In all seriousness, Fulham are the way to go. A decent team, with a good squad and a likeable manager. Plus you get the added entertainment of "Mad" Mohamed Al Fayed as the owner
  15. No, you're retarded. To even consider Owen having an injury free season is close to laughable. Impossible? No, not fucking far from it though. And you'll find that nearly every goal he scored last season could of been scored by a ninety year old one legged man. His awareness is pretty damn shocking actually and the majority of games he played last season he was almost anonymous, so it was like Newcastle playing with ten men. I don't hate him what so ever, if anything I'm more gutted. He once had potential to be world class and for whatever reason, it got thrown away. I really cant see any way back for the guy, unless a club makes a huge mistake and brings him in. Hull or Stoke sounds fine, but anybody above that would just seem crazy if you ask me. I don't see how he's really better than any of the lower league strikers any more, because he lacks in just about every single department nowadays. It actually amazes me that people still even rate the guy after him being shit for years on end. No, No I'm not retarded, just have a different view to you. Owen is still very much Premiership quality. United quality? mabie not, but certainly a lot better than you're making out. Not better than lower league strikers is just plain stupid to say, Michale Owen would be a fantastic signing for not just Hull or Stoke, but Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan or someone around that level. I'd bet he'd even be decent at Villa or Everton. And I never called you retarded, just the sugestion that Irwin would be better than Owen. And SuperTabs, if one in 3 isn't good enough for Fergie, why exactly is Berbatov still playing. 9 in 31 games, hardly any better than Owen
  16. What's with all the Owen hate? The man is still a proven Premiership goalscorer. Yes he's a bit crocked, but whats to say he won't have an injury free season next year? Owen scored 8 Premiership goals in 27 games for Newcastle. Thats about 1 in 3. He doesn;t have the pace he used to, but his positioning and awareness are still sharp. To sugest Sherringham or Dennis fucking Irwin would be better choices is retarded.
  17. Because Madris havn't been going on about how they want one of Liverpools best players at all have they? Nope I don;t think they've ever even mentioned been interested in anyone from our team... oh wait a miniute thats bollocks isn't it. We've had to deal with Madrid trying to poach Alonso all summer. What about Fergie and the way he signed Berbatov last year. United broke every rule in the book and got away with it because it's United, and what Fergie wants, Fergie gets because if anyone critisizes him he throws his toys out of the pram. And the best players in the world really don't come to the Premiership. We've had one or two quality players, and some of the best have been here, but usually they end up in Spain or Italy, not here.
  18. I really really hope madris buy everyone United want, just to piss Fergie off. And then I'll laugh like a fucking drain along with rockbox when it completly fails to click in Madrid and Barca walk all over them again. But please Mr perez, buy anyone United are even remotley interested in, because it's funny.
  19. There are, but I'm buggered if I can make them work
  20. Bopra Collingwood Strauss Pieterson Kaitch Flintoff Prior Siddle Lee Sidebottom Broad I don't follow Cricket all that closley, but this sounds like fun, and The Ashes is always great
  21. Owen got 10 goals last year in a small amount of games for Newcastle. He's not the player he once was, but he can still cut it no doubt about it. He's gonna have to take a huge wage cut if he wants to stay in the Premiership, because the clubs who can afford the big wages just aren't interested. I still love Owen, despite the way he left us for Madrid, and would love to see him back in the Premier league fully fit and scoring goals.
  22. It's no way to run a football club. You need one person with sole responsibility. It seems a right mess, and like people are saying, its relegation unless things change rapidish
  23. All thats been said is that there are two offers. Everything I've read said he prefers a move to Liverpool as he didn't enjoy his time at Chelsea. It's all media hype, Liverpool are linked with someone, quick let's say someone else is after him and the player will go there because Liverpool can't afford him!
  24. I'll come on board as the token Wrexham follower, someone has to don't they
