  1. What amazes me is that he was able to play on after getting shot. That's a miracle if there ever was one.
  2. Rilo Kiley Blondie (obviously) Metric The Sounds
  3. Yes, that's the point of the thread believe it or not. Personally I feel Avram Grant will be just as unsuccessful as those foreign nobodies who have managed Hearts over the last year or so.
  4. 60s - The Beatles & The Who. Easy enough for me. 70s - Probably the decade I know least about. UK gets it again thanks to Queen, David Bowie and the Police. 80s - Easy. UK again thanks to the Smiths and the Cure. 90s - I've gone off grunge a bit recently but I never was a fan of the likes of Oasis, Suede et al. USA by a pinch. 00s - Plenty of good music from each country. Unfortunately to me so much music from the USA seems like the same generic stuff. American alternative rock must be the most dire genre ever. I'd prefer identikit British indie to it anyday.
  5. oh most definitely. I'd recommend "They Dance Alone".
  6. Both. Particularly his solo stuff. The Police are a bit "cooler" than Sting's solo music though.
  7. I suppose Sting could be called a guilty pleasure because people seem to find it funny that I listen to him. I've made no secret of the fact that I think his music is fantastic though.
  8. Wham! is just amazing. Seriously.
  9. It's better than PES. They seem to take things out each year rather than add them.
  10. Alex McLeish is brilliant. I think his record is something like five wins in six games. Whatever it is, it's amazing.
  11. If all else fails you could release him and re-sign him before any other clubs can get in.
  12. You can create and edit players. You can also create a couple of teams, do transfers and change the players in international squads. You could customise far more in FIFA 07 than you could in pretty much any FIFA game before, minus the ability to edit kits.
  13. I like Death Cab's cover of "This Charming Man". Ben gets a lot of the words wrong though.
  14. Double-0 Ghost 27 by John Frusciante
  15. I thought that was a really bad album. The songs seem to be interpreted so dully. Especially Girlfriend In A Coma, Frankly Mr. Shankly, Panic and most of all There Is A Light That Never Goes Out covered by My Awesome Compilation, which is awful. Shoplifters of the World Unite by This Girl has very possibly the worst vocal harmonies I've ever heard. This might just be a personal thing, but all the bands seem to have really annoying voices, particularly Cursive, Garrison and Million Dead. How Soon Is Now by Hundred Reasons was alright though.
  16. 25 is definitely what you want. It was good enough for Zola after all.
  17. The Eve Of The War - Jeff Wayne (Y)
  18. Well yeah, I only brought it up because he died. I must admit opera does sound all the same to me and the only song of his I'd actually be able to recognise is Nessun Dorma. Still it'd be interesting though. Something new to me at least.
  19. I think Luciano Pavarotti is due a tribute album. EDIT: seriously though. Rock bands doing opera would be interesting.
  20. I first heard Nessun Dorma earlier this year because I was doing the song for my trombone exam. I downloaded the song to help me get used to it and didn't give much thought to it after the exam was over. When I heard Pavarotti died I played Nessun Dorma for the first time in several months. Listening to it, with the speaker volume turned to full made my hair stand on end. I realised that while it is hardly my usual type of music, it is still an amazing song. Truly awe-inspiring. RIP.
  21. Remember when some people were calling for Teddy Sheringham to be in the World Cup 2006 squad? I found that amusing.
  22. It wouldn't happen to anyone but Michael Bridges.
  23. What does everyone think of the possibility that the demanding schedules and higher amounts of games could be a cause for the increased amount of deaths? This might not apply to the likes of Antonio Puerta so much with him having a hereditary condition anyway, but I can't imagine huge amounts of games, especially during warm days could have been all that good for his condition.
