  1. Footballers Who Died While Playing I think you're correct. There's a lot more in the 2000s than any other decade.
  2. I don't know exactly what teams don't have real players but you can fix that by going to the directory into which you installed FM, usually C:/program files/sports interactive/data/db/lnc/all and delete the LNC files.
  3. Not quite brilliance but certainly a good band. My favourites from the album are "The Great Escape", "Inaction" and "This Scene Is Dead".
  4. Arcade Fire in October Bloc Party/Cribs in December Babyshambles in December assuming Pete isn't jailed.
  5. I just listened to Town Called Malice by The Jam and I would certainly put that down. It has a cheery organ line, hand claps and finger clicking which is all you need for a happy song really.

    Madden 08

Does anyone know what the Wii version is like? How do they utilise the remote for it?
  7. House of Jealous Lovers - The Rapture. Pretty much anything by the Rapture actually.
  8. Pretty much anything by Belle and Sebastian - particularly "I'm A Cuckoo". September Grass - James Taylor Songs from the Beatles early period: "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" et al. All the songs except "Boxing" from the Ben Folds Five album. They just have a very summery feel.
  9. Between The Bars by Elliott Smith is very poignant, especially when you think of how his life ended. Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division They Dance Alone - Sting. This one might be a bit unexpected but is a beautiful song. There's a variety of folk instruments such as panpipes in the song which give it an interesting sound.
  10. I only found out last year that Bob Dylan wrote "All Along The Watchtower", rather than Jimi Hendrix.
  11. Agreed. Particularly "I Wanna Choke Your Band" among others. On the subject of Beatles tribute bands, I find The Punkles fairly amusing.
  12. Kieron Dyer's transfer to West Ham is off because Newcastle apparently delayed the deal. I can't imagine West Ham fans being too disappointed. They've got enough twats with Bowyer and Bellamy. It's certainly not a good idea to reunite Dyer with the former.
  13. I realised I hate Hellogoodbye today. That song Here (In Your Arms) is annoying as fuck.
  14. Speaking of Jay-Z, I've heard of an album called the "Grey Album" that mixes Jay-Z's Black Album with The Beatles' White Album. I've never listened to it so I'm not in a position to comment.
  15. I accidentally lost Steven Naismith to Birmingham City for a free on my Kilmarnock game because his contract expired before I remembered to cash him in. Got Derek Riordan on loan from Celtic who should be a decent short-term replacement though. Henrik Larsson for £70k is always a good deal too. He doesn't seem too eager to come though.
  16. Alonso has been a twat all season. He just seems really jealous of Hamilton and he acts really childish about he and Hamilton being equal priorities.

    Best Riffs

Helicopter by Bloc Party is good. Three Evils by Coheed and Cambria Killing in the Name by Rage. Supermassive Blackhole. Club Tropicana by Wham and several far more worthy ones I can't think of right now.
  19. I'm don't really know that many mashups either. There's a decent mix of The Prayer mixed with Banquet, both by Bloc Party. Hunting for witches is also in a few mashups.

    The Libertines

I love the Libertines. While the second album is definitely weaker I still like all the songs. Also they are quite important to me in that they were the band that inspired me to write music of my own. The Libertines guitar book is the only guitar book I've ever bought.
  21. The Beatles weren't "bad guys" at that time really. That role fell to the Rolling Stones more than anyone.
  22. yeah it's stupid that. I was infertile so I adopted a couple of children. Then one day I was raped and it made me pregnant.
  23. I hope you're not being sarcastic there.
  24. I like most music but however much I've tried I've never been able to like metal, save for five or six bands (none of which are Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer etc.). I also detest the majority of the whiny, samey American pop-punk/power pop/"emo" or whatever you want to call it. By this I mean bands in the vein of Cartel, RJA and pretty much every band that adds you on myspace and begs you to listen to their music because they're "really cool and original and sing from the heart." I'm also not a huge fan of rap music although it does have it's moments and chipmunk rave music is rather horrible, as is "opera-pop" or whatever you want to call it. Rubbish like G4, Il Divo...you get the picture. Apart from that I'm easy.
