  1. Cool, I didn't know they showed full PPV's. How often do they happen then? Is it monthly? And when's the next one being shown in the UK?
  2. As sad as it is, I must admit Butterfly was a catchy tune. And GC sucks, no matter what way you slice it.
  3. I know that Bravo on Sky shows some UFC and stuff, but I have no idea what they show, or when they show it. Could anybody clue me in?
  4. I completed Gears of War in about a week, playing an hour or so a day. I still think it was worth every fucking penny I paid for it.
  5. I'm not sure, I don't remember seeing the option to use a regular controller. The Wii-mote/nunchuk combo works well, though. You don't have to jump up and down and flail your arms around wildly, if that's what you're worried about. It's a lot easier to aim with your bow/bookerang/catapult too.
  6. It sounds like an At The Drive In song.
  7. Sorry to bump an old topic but I should be getting a Wii this week (finally) and the only game I'm really interested in at the moment is Zelda. The only thing that worries me is the control scheme, I'm not sure wether Id rather play it with a normal controller. So is it possible to choose to use the normal 'classic' Wii controller for this, or do you have to use the wii-mote/nunchuk combination?
  8. I completed this bad boy last night, after spending about half an hour trying to figure out how to kill RAAM. Awesome game really, if a bit linear and short. But online Co-Op adds a new lease of life, so in a month or so I reckon I'd wanna play through it again like that. Now, on to Dead Rising.....
  9. Like Skumfrog said, just wait for a line or two to hit you then write the song around them. That's how I do it.
  10. I quite like Jamie T, Sheila was a bit of an anthem for my group of friends earlier this year. This song is pretty cool aswell, it's quirky, and a bit different.
  11. I completely agree with Mudda on this too, and I don't understand anybody who doesn't. Yes, music is an art form, but it doesn't mean it isn't also a job for these people. Not every musician in the world is a gazzilionaire y'know. These people have spent countless hours writing, rehearsing, recording, playing and promoting this stuff, why shouldn't they own it forever? Never mind 50 years or even 95 years. As a musician myself, I know that if I wrote a hit song I'd still want to be collecting the cheques 50 years from now, 95 years from now and basically untill I die. Even when I die I'd want that intelectual property right to be passed down to my kids, and for them to pass it down to there kids. And nobody has 'betrayed a beautiful art for there own greed' the song still exists, it was still written, you can still listen to it and appreciate it. If anybody is gonna make moeny from it, why shouldn't it be the guy who wrote and popularised it? Why should it be anybody else?
  12. The NME is like the ultimate in post modern ironic self parody, only it doesn't even know it's doing it.
  13. I really like them, definately reccomended.
  14. I'm going to see them next weekend. I hope my face is adequately prepared to be rocked.
  15. A lot of these bands I've already heard and like, a lot of them I haven't and will now check out. Keep 'em coming though if you've got more.
  16. I listen to a lot of 'hardcore' music (by which I mean the punk style of hardcore, not the happy hardcore rave stuff), but am always on the look out for more. Hardcore, Punk, Post Hardcore, Screamo, Emo, Grindcore, Noisecore, whatever, I dont care as long as it's nice and good and heavy. Can I also just stress that I can't stand shitty metal riffs, so please don't suggest bands that sound like Iron Maiden with screaming.
  17. I'd say for somebody who isn't an avid gamer, FIFA wins easily. It's a lot easier to get into, and if he's still playing 05 then it's obvious he has no issues with the FIFA style of gameplay. Pro Evo has always struck me as more of a game for game fans who also like football, whereas FIFA is kinda for football fans who also like games, if that makes sense?
  18. Yeah, new deftones is good. Dunno how I managed to forget that
  19. Norma Jean's new record 'redeemer' is pretty bosting. Erm, can't really think of anything else that's new.
