  1. Quickenings are shit. So pointless, the only time I ever used one was a Vaan-Basch combo to kill the wraith. And thats cause I was bored waiting for attack to charge up. Flowered Cactoid itself was piss, just the fact the fucker kept running into other groups of enemies then healing itself in the confusion. Cuntatrice is my most hated bad guy so far. He's whooped me numerous times now, I only managed to kill one little yellow guy before the big one raped me. Similar scenario to that Nekbhet cockatrice thing, I came back a few levels later and kicked shit out of it. Basch is awesome. My favourite character so far by some distance. Nice to see the plot isn't that fantastical yet aswell.
  2. So, this is out in the UK today, picked up from Tesco at 8am this morning. My questions is, I'm really into Digital Devil Saga at the moment and would hate to quit it for FF12 and then run the risk of not being able to get back into it after I've finished FF. So to anyone who's played both...is this worth quitting another game you're into for?
  3. What they said to Preston was nowhere near as bad as the ribbing that Tourette wanker got, although Preston did make me laugh. Amstell - "C'mon Preston! This is supposed to be fun!" Preston - "Well let me know when it starts then..."
  4. I didn't think Demon Gate was as bad some people make out. Although I sometimes tend to put the hours in when doing levels up. Part of the experience to me is levelling up. You're not enjoying an RPG unless you're sat wrapped in a quilt at four in the morning just killing Behemoths over and over again...and you don't see what the problem is. Oh, and to toss my vote in there, I didn't mind FFVIII. Although I considered tossing FFX into the mix, so take my opinion for what you will.
  5. This could be cool. Wonder what the plot will be though...
  6. "Let me explain something to you Donny. Bills a professional comedian.....you're not going to win."
  7. Chelsea everytime. As long as it's a contract of Winston Bogarde proportions.
  8. I concur your excellency. As long as it's not just...take down, punch punch, Ive won, I'll be interested. It'd be pretty cool if they used a fight night style career system too where as you get older you get more broken down and starts are hard to increase. Even better if it took injuries into account, with scars or weak body parts being added as you have more fights.
  9. Probotector, Blue Shadow, Maniac Mansion, Shadowgate, Totally Rad and the Shining Force games all rocked...in one way or another. Let's not forget Off Road either.

    Rock Anthems

Land of Confusion - Disturbed I never even liked the band before, but this song is an anthem for me.
  11. Captain Tobias Slater, Witch Locater. Bones from Operation Good Guys Alan Partridge Butters Duffman
  12. Yeah I remember that. I thought it would have been funnier without that comment actually, seeing as HHH pretty much is the general manager of RAW in real life anyway. On a side note, I hated that storyline, the JBL one and the Lashley one. Very predictable.
  13. Good game, great graphics, bit repetitive though. Co-op's the shit.
  14. Funny you should mention that. Someone brought that up in conversation a while ago, I'd never heard of it mind. Mainly because I wasn't into PC gaming pre-2000ish. Any chance of some elaboration that isn't Wikipedia?
  15. So there's 40+ storylines, but I've had the exact same ones twice nearly. And I missed out on Austin and the Smoking Skull belt twice. I can't believe someone doesn't want Austin or Rocky in! "Lets not put in two of the three biggest wrestlers of all time, but give Jim Neidhart, Tazz and Jerry Lawler a slot?"
  16. It annoys me that to my knowledge, there aren't any "scary" or horror genre games out there. Surely theres a massive target market for legit scary games? I mean, its easy to scare people. Lure them in with intrigue, a soundtrack or heavy concentration. Then wham, something out of nowhere. Not too difficult, and I'd buy them if they were generally scary. I heard Clock Tower was scary, but could never find them. Other than that, its a genre that hasn't really been touched upon since the early Resi games (which have become more and more action based throughout). Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, I dunno. Just irritates me that we've got shit clones of every other game, but certain genres are untouched.
  17. We've* got four wireless ones now (Y) Had two to start with, then got two more on Friday with SVR2007 because we* thought some mates were coming round to play PES and Smackdown! Which they didn't * = By "we" I mean me and my brother, obviously...
  18. Leon in Resi 4. You'd have thought by 2004/5 that the American Government would have taught their special agents how to move and fire with a handgun simultaneously.
  19. Yeah I know what you mean. One of those games where there's "too much" going on, so you just end up wandering about getting shot to pieces.
