  1. Cool Hand Luke and Caddyshack.
  2. Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace is my favorite contempary piece in years. But as far as classic literature I am always trying to push Richard Braughtigan. If you love Kerouac, Burroughs, and other beat writers Braught is your man. His books are so textured, and laced with hidden meanings. You could literally analyze the same work for years and come up with something different every day.
  3. To offer a serious suggestion, try some Glassjaw. Motel of the White Locust is a great start. They are so angry it is almost scary, especially when you hear the contrast of the lead singer's other project the much much lighter electric group Head Automatica. Hotel of the White Locust Lyrics... Probably the most brutal, intense and rage laced lyrics ever. Welcome to Hollywood Girl My dance has passed. Welcome to Hollywood girl. Wake the fuck up in Hollywood whore. Combine the throbbin' in my head with the rhythm of my fucking feet. Say a novena for all those lost and read the bloodstains on the sheets. I've whored myself for less than this and I've prayed to appear to fed. As I knelt on my pillow God, I clenched the fucking fists and banged my head. Who could ever.. Who the fuck could ever.. Take the place of me? [x2] Now I kiss up to God my fists and I pray to keep my head though I like your pretty eyes better blackened and my fists all fucking red. Through sickness and health, I've kissed up to God two years, I have focused.. On the cameos made by the tiger in the valley of the fucking locust. Who could ever.. Who the fuck could ever.. Take the place of me? Who could ever.. Who the fuck could ever.. No one can the place of me? Wipe... Wipe off your mouth. Get up off your knees and make me your god. Who could ever, Who the fuck could ever? It's sexual debauchery you fucking cunt, you fucking whore, You cost what you're worth. Followed by a boy like this, Reignited by all your visits. As long as your mouth is shut you'll still be fuckin beautiful. Pack your shit and leave, and take my memories of her with you. (I don't need to know) [x10] ...And take her fucking with you

    Tingles

Car Crash by Our Lady Peace has a rather special effect on me.

    Workout songs?

Pretty much anything by Glassjaw but special notice for Siberian Kiss.
  6. I was actually kind of dissappointed in the album. I was hoping his solo project would offer a little more than being a 'sequel' to Amnesiac. Don't get me wrong I think that the album is pretty good, but I guess I don't see why he couldn't have pumped most of this out under the Radiohead umbrella. I guess I was hoping for a little more growth.
  7. Danny Trejo being in this movie made me pee my pants a little. Trejo > Chuck Norris > Mr. T > Vin Diesel > You.
  8. Oh and if it is allowed I'd like to nominate the entire television series "American Idol."
  9. The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan by Bob Dylan Townes Van Zandt Live at London Chapel by Townes Van Zandt Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen Nighthawks at the Dinner by Tom Waits Spiritual Machines by Our Lady Peace Nils Lofgren Band Live by the Nils Lofgren Band The White Album by the Beatles Riot Act by Pearl Jam Let It Die by Fiest Real Gone by Tom Waits
  10. I think Britney Spears did a shit cover of I Can't Get No Satisfaction, but I can't be sure. It may have been a dream, because after hearing it I woke up 3 months later covered in my our feces and bleeding from the ears.
  11. I heard some interview with Sticky on the radio the day before it premiered and he was so lack luster and unenthusiastic I could tell it was going to suck. I mean if the lead doesn't even give a shit you are pretty screwed. Oh, Sticky also mentioned that he is writing a movie that will be all rap. All the lines will be rapped. Anyone else hear about this?

    Memorable Songs

High by Feeder... Got You Where I Want You by the Flys
  13. Honorable mention should be given to Henry Rollins who is a superb spoken word performer though he just narrowly crests 'stand up.' His insights, stories, and endearing self depreciation class him at the top for me.
  14. Bill Hicks and David Cross.
  15. The Correct Answer is: Bill Hicks Live. It has three of his most infamous performances, One Night Stand, Relentless, and my favorite Revelations.
  16. I've seen OLP live about 5 times and have seen most of their catologue performed on stage, and I consider them to be the best show I've ever seen. That being said, despite their later records shortcomings they all play out fantastic live. I blame their last two CD's shortcomings on Bob Rock.
  17. When the President Talks to God by Bright Eyes is one of most hard hitting recent commentaries.
  18. Yay for Sylvia, one of the few famous folk to come out of Maine.
