  1. So based on the early results of team photo day we are about 7 days out from there being a definitive ranking of which teams are carrying the biggest and smallest sticks around.
  2. I like that some of the criticisms are that the main story beats are all treated with some incredible level of pomp & circumstance, as if that's a bad thing. I want this game to treat Costa del Sol as the most important seaside town in video game history lol. I've also seen that the open world maybe doesn't provide as much variation as you might get in other games, which is keeping with what we generally get from Square Enix. Apparently some repetitive side quests, again true to form. Was a little worried they'd throw too much into the game to pad it out unnecessarily but if the padded out stuff is mostly to make the open world feel bigger than it is likely stuff I can just breeze by.
  3. His tweets don't add value and we could just as easily type up the news he's the first to break. A compromise for all.
  4. You could have told me Gravenberch featured for Preston North End in 2014 and I'd completely believe you.
  5. A solid two years after the game's release does make you feel like this will be a massive expansion. I'm so excited, this will be right on the heels of FFVII Rebirth for me most likely. Good few months ahead

  7. Aston Villa 2-0 Nottm Forest (Sat 3pm) Crystal Palace 1-0 Burnley (Sat 3pm) Man Utd 2-0 Fulham (Sat 3pm) Bournemouth 1-3 Man City (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle (Sat 8pm, TNT)
  8. It was an honor to have been able to play in goal for the Philadelphia Union tonight.
  9. All-Star Weekend is an a-lister event despite all this and it gives the NBA clout by being able to say "look at all the celebs hanging out with our league". Especially right off the heels of the Super Bowl. They're not changing a thing but for fans it's not really fun or entertaining unless you're really obsessed with celebrities.
  10. You know he had that one written down before the broadcast and couldn't wait. So embarrassing. Players are rightfully dragging him. It's always the actual athletes who seem to have the most respect and admiration for each other.
  11. Someone should splice together the 15 minutes of really fun stuff and send it your way.
  12. Interesting note is the review embargo for this game lifts a whole week early, which historically means there's a lot of confidence in it being a "GOTY contender". A whole week to generate pre-release buzz so that people who did preorder don't cancel and people who didn't decide that they want to play it. We will know in a few days if this is Square Enix having a bit too much hubris or if their confidence is justified.
  13. Whoa now there's a still a few minutes left for Sheff Utd to put 5 past Brighton and draw level.
  14. The Marvels is best summed up as a situation where they had a great movie put in their laps and then asked themselves "but what if we made it bad?" The more time away from it, the angrier I get about it. Some moments of brilliance that feel ruined by a heavy-handed effort to fit it in as a very small piece in a chaotically sprawling media universe.
  15. The worst thing to be said about that is the video is only 5 seconds long.
  16. Yeah this is actually what happened and is such a garbage part of the rules.
  17. Still time for him to change his mind again! It's not even spring.
  18. Between Ant-Man and Loki season 2 there was just way too much Kang for this supposed-to-be-terrifying villain. It was a weird approach and one I don't think worked narratively at all.
  19. That could be a great landing spot for the top assistant GMs in the league. Lot of potential there over the next few years.
  20. Brentford 1-3 Liverpool (Sat 12.30pm, TNT) Newcastle 2-1 Bournemouth (Sat 3pm) Nottm Forest 1-2 West Ham (Sat 3pm) Man City 3-0 Chelsea (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Sheff Utd 0-2 Brighton (Sun 2pm, Sky)
  21. Happy pitchers & catchers day to all who observe!
  22. From the standpoint of being an out of town fan 5-6 is perfect. You probably don't need to pay for Sunday Ticket in order to see most of your favorite team's 1pm game.
  23. Aren't they toying with more Friday night games? And Tuesday? And then there's the international games that kick off in the morning here. The classic model of the 1pm games is definitely going to the wayside, maybe in most weeks you'll get 6 total games at that time?
  24. The 2 byes will drive CBS and Fox mad with all the primetime games also going on. Huge number of weeks where your marquee 4:25pm game is between the 6-7 Falcons and 7-6 Titans or something.
