  1. Ask the average person on the street in Australia what they think of Rupert Murdoch. He wouldn't like the answer. It's one of the main reasons why I always cringe when he's on the simpsons being portrayed as an aussie larrikin.

    NRL 2010

NSW haven't selected a real team for a number of years now.

    NRL 2010

I can never really tell where the Warriors are at, in any given year. For all we know they could win both the grand final and the wooden spoon within the next 3 years.
  4. Big test coming up this weekend for the Hawks. Fingers crossed that the roll the team's been on recently will continue.

    NRL 2010

Yeah I know we had a a number of players out with rep duties/injuries/suspensions and some 31 year old that we signed only a couple of days ago had to be rushed into the side(which really tells you how desperate the situation was) but.... 50-22?? That's disgusting. It was a chance for my beloved Rabbitohs to show what they were made of and they blew it.
  6. I wanted to get Dark Knight on blu ray but someone bought me the 2 disk dvd version as a surprise and I'm too cheap to buy a blu ray for something I've got the dvd version of, even if I didn't pay for said dvd version.
  7. You still have BB over there? We cancelled ours due to lack of interest(and it had been shite for a good few years before that).
  8. The new Iron Fist? Leading contender to play Power Man?
  9. How much muscle mass would Arnie have to lose to take on the role of Fist then? I know precious few famous Austrians and it's something that keeps me awake at night.
  10. I'd prefer a Powerman and Iron Fist movie to a Spiderman reboot anyway.
  11. Firstly not FM 2010 but I always found it amusing. -Alex Ferguson usually always became manager of Doncaster in my games when I took over United. Now back to business, does AFC Wimbledon have incredible cup runs in all your games? I know SI sponsor them but they seem to do rather better than they should in cups.
  12. I have Band of Brothers and a free wrestling blu ray that came with one of the Smackdown games.
  13. My favourite ever manual was for the early 90's Sega Megadrive game "Buck Rodgers" I remember reading that beauty on my 16th birthday.
  14. Actually at the risk of taking this off-topic I've never really cared for many of Marvel's marquee hero's Iron Man I've also never liked outside of the recent movies and his appearances in the Spidey cartoon of the 90's
  15. As long as Spidey isn't played by somebody from Twilight as was rumoured before, I'll live with it. Edit:- To be honest GoGo I wouldn't care if Captain America was black. Maybe its the fact that I've never been the biggest Cap fan and thus any change to his character wouldn't affect me that much but honestly I wouldn't care about his colour.
  16. Yeah TK I find the same with Rutten. He came in and I expected him to tear into my top division but he ended up losing to pretty much every other top contender.
  17. I notice that Tuli beats a Gracie almost every single time. Same happened in the DOMMA V1. Also Oleg Taktarov, on his day, can rip into either Royce or Shamrock.
  18. 87. Then follows up by appointing this guy as his assistant.
  19. Fans slam Lost finale as 'worst ever' Livid fans of Lost, who have spent the last six years following the show's complicated plot twists, have slammed the program's finale, calling it the worst in TV history. WARNING: Spoiler alert — do not keep reading if you don't want to know what happens The final episode of Lost, watched by 13.5 million people in the US on Sunday and airing in Australia on Wednesday night, revealed the show's characters were dead after all and had not in fact survived the Oceanic flight 815 plane crash. The Pacific island the characters were marooned on was actually a "tropical limbo" where the castaways were forced to work out their issues and accept their fate before moving onto the next phase of their existence. Dozens of messages posted on ABC Television's official Lost website — which invited viewers to comment on their favourite part of the finale — revealed the sense of frustration. "There was no favourite part of the finale. It sucks. We've been had. SO PISSED," one person posted. "What a PATHETIC ending this crap was!!!" said another. "Too many things did not match up and nothing was explained about the island. It was by far the worst final episode to a series I've ever seen and am quite pissed off for wasting so much of my time and interest hoping for a decent denouement." Another poster said, "Horrible! What a let down... six years of my life for one of the biggest let downs!" Other fans were less critical, even while acknowledging that several plot points remained unresolved. "I loved it. It was very emotionally satisfying and that was enough," said one poster. "I still have some questions, but don't we all?" While fans were sharply divided, critics were broadly supportive of the finale, saying the fact that so many questions were unresolved was in keeping with the show's tendency to bemuse during its six-year run. "Thrillingly, cleverly, and in a manner that tapped into the simple, profound truths of great American works like Our Town, the show spelled out for viewers what it has been saying all along," USA Today's reviewer enthused. "Lost is about life and death, faith and science, spirit and flesh, and has always stressed that the title refers to the characters' souls, not their location," the paper added. National Public Radio reviewer Linda Holmes said the show had "Died as it lived, by offering effective character studies out of murky logistics. Many people hated it instantly, there is no question," she wrote. "It was always going to be so. But whatever unanswered questions remain about statues and symbols and food drops, those last couple of hours treated the characters very, very well." Entertainment Weekly meanwhile said the finale was "pretty delightful, full of reunions that were both emotional and funny." A reviewer on Gawker.com website was unimpressed however.v"Once upon a time, there was a television show about a bunch of people on an island," wrote Max Read. "For six years it was one of the most fascinating things on TV. And then it ended, in the worst way possible. Lost ended tonight, and with it the hopes and dreams of millions of people who thought it might finally get good again." Just saw that and thought I'd post it, for discussion's sake
  20. I cannot agree more, that and if they hadn't ruined Megatron I think you'll find that sadly Chris Latta (the original Starscream) passed away. What I thought was cool though, was that the movie starscream (Charlie Adler) was the voice of Cobra Commander in the new GI Joe cartoon, just like Chris was also the voice for the original Cobra Commander in the 80's cartoons. Can anybody tell me what happened to the missing Dinobot? There was like 5 of them but one mysteriously disappeared and I don't think was ever refered to again. One last thing, was I the only one that really didn't like Perceptor? I loved Wheeljack and Ratchet and Perceptor took over their roles and I remember hating him at the time for it.
  21. Even though I agree that Cardiff stand more of a chance to survive, I would love to see Blackpool in the Premier League. I've seen Cardiff play a few times but never seen Blackpool play.
  22. I echo the love for Hingis.
  23. From my admittedly hazy memory, I think United were in quite a better position than your Chelsea team are now but I was just sure that the team would find some way to screw it up. I'm quite pessimistic these days. Which is a shame because I was one of the United fans that was going "yay we won the league!" in 1999/2000 and not one of those so called fans that was like "booo we only won the league" I don't know what happened to turn me from an optimist to a pessimist in less than a decade.
  24. Stokey really reminds me of me, in the closing stages of 2006/7. Despite everyone telling me that the title was United's to lose, I was convinved we'd find some way to fcuk it up and didn't believe it would happen until it was officially confirmed.

    NRL 2010

Normally you get idiots online responding to articles and it's just a sad part of life and you ignore it. However this I read and have to share with someone. Is that person really suggesting the NRL have conspired to screw over the Storm out of jealousy that the game is moving away from its traditional Sydney powerbase? If anything the NRL would cover up for the Storm to maintain the important link to Victoria.
