I saw it, and I'd argue it was better than the recent episodes if only due to the length: The problem that seems to come with the recent episodes is that at the moment, the show's problems are that they separate into a few different categories: The off-the-wall episodes (quite often good), the generic "The Simpsons ARE GOING TO (x)!" (which are hit-or-miss), the generic "something pulls Homer and Marge apart, then they get back together by the end" (which are rarely tolerable now), and the season's token Lisa episode (which has plummeted from leading to some of the series' better episodes of previous seasons to perennially one of the worst each year.) The movie kind of worked for a direct example of that as a result: Each of the basic "semi-plotlines" probably would have resulted in about 5-7 subpar episodes of the TV show in and of themselves, but when they were together it actually worked much better than the sum of the parts.

Relegation would be awesome, but the risk would be obvious due to a few major reasons: 1- TV rights Television needs to make sure that it can get some fanbases in the really major cities (the biggest reason there's the problem of Los Angeles not having an NFL team.) If you take three teams from larger cities one year and demote the team to the minor leagues for a much smaller market (MLB being a good option: In your idea, a team from Chicago [one of the biggest cities in the US] would be replaced in the major league by a team from Round Rock, Texas [a town that clearly couldn't support baseball as much.] 2- Minor league systems This is the biggest problem for your plan- specifically, the concept of this. Minor leagues are meant as developmental feds for young prospects for most teams. Somehow, the plan of a team with a good crop of minor leaguers having to be traded en masse for lesser players on another team could be a problem- but any other way would defeat the purpose. (In addition, there is the inherent problem of bad teams with good farm systems to defeat the point: The best example you've given was in the NHL [Manchester, NH's team is the AHL affiliate of Los Angeles- who's to say that the Kings wouldn't just promote all the "LA" players to Manchester and demote all the Manchester players to "LA", defeating the entire purpose again?)

Spider-Man 2- 8/10 Going to see Spider-Man 3 with friends today, then realized I had entirely forgotten to see Spider-Man 2 all this time (it came out when I had been in a phase where my theory was "If I buy bootleg DVDs of movies, then I'll be able to see them whenever I want!"...forgetting that once I own the movie, odds are I'll never get around to watching it...)

To be fair, your mistakes proved the case for Drexel in many (Penn did make the NCAA, and Vermont's also in the NIT [NIT stipulations say that if a conference's regular season champs lose in the tournament, then the NIT gives them an automatic bid]). Put those in, and Drexel's case becomes better [every key win is against a tournament team, three losses were tournament teams].

For the tone of this, you'd assume he could make at least ONE innuendo about his last name being "Hardaway"- I mean, come on.

This was just a terrible casting decision by the producers to put Blackman in the movie. I mean, he is a decent enough wrestler and could probably do some nice spots, but come on: If you're going to cast a WWF Attitude Era-superstar to play Skeletor, Terri Runnels was RIGHT THERE...

Eragon- 3/10 I had to give it the benefit of the doubt. Sure, I heard derivative bandied about for this movie, but it would likely have nice special effects and was a fantasy film (meaning good fare for a geek.) So I went to a matinee to give it a chance. Final tally: It was "A New Hope." I'm not saying it was derivative of "A New Hope", because that would require there to be some original parts to the film. I'm saying I would not be surprised if they copy-pasted the script to "A New Hope" and put it in a fantasy world (or at least read the novelization before writing the script.) This isn't a completely bad thing- "A New Hope" was a quite good movie. It's not a bad thing to rip off "A New Hope"- it's just that when I have to see it again when I don't decide to see it, it's a bad thing.

I know I fight Darth Vader on the planet Neptune with Warrior, but can I get some better choices here? Driving: Bob Dylan- "Not Dark Yet" Nothing wrong with Bob Dylan on a soundtrack...right? Right? Flashback: Black Eyed Peas- "Pump It" What the hell is this flashback supposed to be about, anyway? Wedding: American Top 40 track: Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford "Close My Eyes Forever" AND Winger "Headed for a Heartbreak" AND Paula Abdul "Cold Hearted" And an AT40 hotline ad AND an Army ad AND a Snickers ad Well, at least this means my wedding scene can get a cool cameo by Shadoe Stevens as my wedding DJ...How these things will work for a wedding, though... School for Scoundrels 5/10 I liked it better the first time I saw it...you know, back when it was called "Anger Management". Some nice spots, some dragging moments, the funniest moment of the movie seems to be what will happen tomorrow when the box office rankings come in (especially since it's the film's opening weekend- yet the only people in the theatre for the show I went to were me and my mother.)

The Illusionist 6/10: One of those movies that seems to drag until all the pieces come together in it.
