***spoilers*** UFC News and Discussion Thread

It is pretty good, there’s live events every weekend at this point, and all of the old Pride, Strikeforce, and WEC stuff too - which I like to have on in the background. I quite like watching the LFA, Titan, and Cage Warriors shows because you just know you’re getting future UFC contenders on there. -

Ah there was a couple of decent scraps on there, but yeah, we’ve had better of late. Jack Shore losing sucks too, but I think he’ll bounce back. London next week will be a belter though. The Cage Warriors show in the same building the night before will also be fire I reckon, will certainly be tuning into Fight Pass for that. -

If you only watch one round of MMA this year, make it the second round of Matt Schnell vs Su Mudaerji from tonight's UFC card. Four-and-a-half minutes of utter madness. -
Good question this. We’ve had some shit signings come in at Villa, but fortunately, a lot of them didn’t cost all that much so you can write them off as getting what we paid for. That being said, going back a time, Stan Collymore was an expensive mistake. More recently, signing Rudy Gestede for £7m to replace Christian Benteke was a disaster which led to relegation. Down in the Championship, spending absurd money on strikers who were never likely to be Premier League level was a major error. £12m Ross McCormack and £12m Scott Hogan both stand out as dismal pieces of business. Back to the top flight and, while he is a victim of circumstance, Wesley will make this list in future. £22m, just as he’s starting to find his feet Ben Mee puts him out for 500 days with a ruined knee, and now struggling to make an impact in a succession of loan moves. He will either leave for a cut price fee, his contract will run down, or he’ll get bought out by the club, but it won’t work out for him now I think.

You would say that

Yup, I tend to move through the neighbourhood in an anti-clockwise direction, and I play each family for the same length of time so everyone ages consistently. Just the way I've always done it.

Hey @Benji 👋 … Onto business. Still chipping away at my absurdly long running Sims 2 game, and all of a sudden my Pleasantview neighbourhood just got interesting. The latest Malcolm Landgraab had two kids - both daughters. Malcolm and his wife are soon to die, leaving his eldest daughter to inherit their mansion (which I expanded to fuck ages ago, putting Goth Manor to shame). Now, Landgraab daughter is currently dating one of the Broke kids (OG Brandi’s grandson I believe). If they get married, as they are on a trajectory to do, then it becomes a Broke household, rather than Landgraab. From starting the game in a trailer park to taking over the biggest home in the town, you gotta love that journey. It will also be the second starting family name to be wiped out I believe. I think there’s only an elderly Pleasant left, while the Burb and Gavigan names are hanging on by a thread. Goths, Lotharios, Calientes, Brokes and Dreamers aplenty though.

Ryan Giggs has resigned as Wales manager, you absolutely love to see it. Should be an absolute no brainer to give it to Robert Page permanently. -
Palace innit.

Wales love hitting Belgium’s defence with spinning shit

Sold a lot of my loan army, ended up back in the FFP black. Celebrated by offering Southampton £110m for an uncapped winger (who will render Ansu Fati obsolete). See you next year financial wizards.
-
Sad to see him go, but we have upgraded on him in all fairness. First player that Villa have sold for a profit since Christian Benteke, which is pretty mad to think about.

I don't mind it so much. Like, on balance, I prefer the weekly episode structure of programming, so I'm not fussed by it. Like, before Game of Thrones fell off a cliff, having a week to talk things over, come up with theories and all that, was pretty dope. You don't get that so much with the episode dump approach. As for S4:

Fucking hell lads we’re going to the World Cup 🤯
-
New Girl works for me as background noise like the Office and Parks does, though I think it might’ve recently been removed from Netflix.
-
Wales has its 13th world champion, and what a fucking way to do it.

So this is pretty fun. Playing universe mode as a single wrestler doesn’t really work if you pick someone in a tag team though. I’ve done Imperium vs Breezango eight weeks out of 10. Got to request two singles matches, and they gave me Barthel vs Aichner both times as well. Apart from that, it is decent.

Big up Domi Szoboszlai, absolute baller.

I’d take him over Gerrard. -
Ukraine then. I kinda see it going the way of Wales vs Denmark at the Euros, I cannot lie. Would like to be wrong though, obvs.
-
Same with the PS4. S’kinda tempting.
-
It is grim, but England are also doing something similar when they play Italy. Scummy behaviour all round.

I didn’t spend just £150m as Gladbach. I actually spent £329m as Gladbach.
-
Me neither, but things got a bit out of hand...
-
Spent £150m on Ansu Fati and won the Champions League with Gladbach, so that's nice. Turns out spending £150m on Ansu Fati (and an obscene amount of $$$ over the years) puts me in a £36m financial fair play black hole. So I have three options this summer: 1. Figure out how the fuck FFP works and try to fix it. 2. Say fuck it, and spend £110m on a promising looking winner from Southampton and trust that FFP goes away or figures itself out. 3. Leave Gladbach in the mud and apply for either the Chelsea or Spurs vacancies.
