  1. I had read a report that Golladay wasn't looking too good, but maybe that's because of the dude throwing him the ball. I'm pretty damn excited for Hard Knocks, I think the NFL world is going to really dig Jamal Williams, our RB #2, he's a great personality. Actually cautiously optimistic about this season, I still expect we miss the playoffs but I think we've got some nice pieces in motion right now.
  2. Jim Croce is pretty awesome.
  3. I honestly have never cared about them. They're just a bonus I guess, but I couldn't tell you any great trophies or scores I've earned.
  4. Yea, i had a friend who is no longer with us that really liked Daniel Johnston. He's a very interesting song writer, very DIY. I would recommend R. Stevie Moore as well, he's a big influence for me as he plays all his own instruments and has been producing his own stuff since the mid-70s. His catalog os daunting because he has thousands of songs over 40 years, best to just collect whatever compilations of him you can. He and Johnston recorded an album together.
  5. Holy shit, pre-season already?
  6. I started the Rey Mysterio stories. And I'm really bad at them, but I did atleast unlock Eddy. I think I really need to adjust the reversal sliders. I actually got really into Rey talking about the Eddy matches...made me a bit emotional listening to Rey talk about it.
  7. That's awesome dude, I love it. Ibanez make really bad ass basses for an affordable price. I actually have an Ibanez bass myself. Here's a picture, apologies to non-donators but I can't figure out how to get a picture link to post. I'd actually love to see you record some bass stuff and show off for us. You don't have to of course haha, but if you get ambitious I'm really curious to hear what you come up with. Speaking of stuff...I've been a busy boy with music. So I wont lie, I love this song I made. I think it's a really good techno dance tune, and I think the video is cool. The footage of the group dancing is actually from Detroit public access tv. If you search youtube for Detroit Bass....something or other there's a ton of stuff. It's like Soultrain or American band stand except Detroit techno. I'm really really into the Detroin techno of the late 80s/early 90s and its a big influence on what I try to do. The other dancers are just disco people but got beautiful moves. This song I was sure if I liked at first, but listening again I really like it and think I can do a lot with it. I think it's a cool punk song that I can put some lyrics too like "I dont wanna go to school, I dont want to get a job, I reject your model I want to be a slob". Somethig stupid like that, it'd be fun. I'd like to maybe re-do it and put some lead guitar on it.
  8. And as much as I bitch I am convinced that this game it really really good. I really think 2K mostly nailed it, I do have some gripes but I'm not gonna focus on that in this post. I love the presentation, it's colorful and vibrant, looks great on my TV. Even with the active roster being kinda outdated the amount of different legends and DLC makes up for it. I mean yeah they're fucking nickel and diming us but eh, I'll deal with it. It's kind of wild to me (and I understand that this isn't exactly a new thing) that you have these built in legends, but also you can download CAWs that are insanely good to supplement your own roster. Like, it's a pretty limitless amount of shit you can do as a wrestling fan. Want to create a show for legends? Go for it. Want to have a separate roster of original CAWS, and a show for them? Fuck yeah, let's roll. You can give them their own custom belts to make it feel really unique. Create a wrestler is ridiculously deep, and creating a move set is almost overwhelming (I don't have the patience anymore with how many unique moves and situations there are). That's not a criticism either because it allows very talented individuals create excellent CAWS. I mean some of the CAWS out there look amazing. It's a pretty deep game and I haven't even touched the Rey Mysterio story or MyRise. Actually I love watching a SIM Royal Rumble of legends. I don't play, just watch and it's really entertaining. Randy Savage won one today. It came down to him and Kevin Nash.
  9. I don't hate it but it's very XFL or Arena League looking.
  10. I really liked Thor, saw it today. I thought it was just a lot of fun, bright and colorful fun. The black and white sequence was nicely done and I definitely echo the love for Christian Bale, he was superb. I really enjoyed all the visual effects. I wish we had got more GOTG but they're also my favorite thing in the MCU so I'm biased.
  11. Last night I watched my kid have a really compelling tag team cage match. He was Finn Balor and AJ Styles against Jake Roberts and Doink the Clown. Also I was Road Dogg vs. Vince McMahon, Vince knocked me down and got on the second rope to taunt. He had his back turned, I got up and ran and hit him in the back. He fell and actually hit his face on the turnbuckle. It ruled.
  12. Tomasso Ciampa is a really annoying opponent. He kicks out of everything and reverses everything. I swear some matches I steamroll through people and sometimes I struggle to get any offense in.
  13. I've seen pretty convincing theories behind Patsy being the one to orchestrate Tony's killing. I forget all the details but it stems from his twin brother getting whacked. Also, I like with the ending how it ties into Bobby and Tony's conversation on the boat. "You probably don't even hear it coming". Which is what happened with Tony, and unfortunately for Bobby he did see it coming. Poor Bobby.
  14. There's many out there...just sorta off the top of my head. Motorhead - Ace of Spades. Motorhead had incredible output their entire career but this is probably their best known, and it's non-stop kicking ass rock from beginning to end. No bad tracks, no dull moments. The Stooges - Raw Power. Similar to Ace of Spades, though this is sexier than Ace of Spades and a different type of kick you in the face rock. Nomeansno - Wrong. One of my favorite bands and one of my favorite albums. This entire album flows beautifully together where at some points multiple tracks feel like one story together. One of the tighest played albums I've heard as well, these dudes were just on point. Gun Club - Fire of Love. Yeah, twangy, cool, they were something special. Sorta rockabilly, sorta punk, sorta southern gothic, but a great listen throughout. Morphine - Cure For Pain. Love this one, very cool jazzy group but perfectly in place in the 90s. A really fun album in general, even when they slow the pace the songs never get dull, just an effortlessly cool album.
  15. I'm all Michigan based. NFL - Detroit Lions NBA - Detroit Pistons MLB - Detroit Tigers (I don't follow too much these days) NHL - Detroit Redwings I guess? I don't watch hockey. Soccer - Detroit City FC, I'd like to follow more because they've put together a really cool DIY feel to the team. College - Michigan Wolverines, mostly because Michigan State fans irritate me (and the old CEO of the mortgage company I worked for is a MSU alumni and a complete fucking scumbag). I do kind of root for Air Force in college football because that was my branch.
  16. This is great, really like this.
  17. I love the Sopranos. Sad to hear of Paulie Walnuts passing, he was one of my favorites. I always loved how he'd make a joke and be like "Hey Tone, ya hear that, I said before and way before heh heh heh heh". Also, these videos are neat.
  18. So I heard this song on the Hulu show "Shoresy" (which is pretty great by the way). I love it, it's so fucking fun and upbeat. What a dance tune. Anybody got any good recommendations for stuff similar to this in the Disco/Funk realm? Edit - Just came across this one, but this is a good tune as well.
  19. But it is a fucking cool game, I dig it man. It's weird, like I don't know, I dig it but like its weird too.
  20. Yeah, I think bass is a great instrument to start with if you're kinda interested in all of them. You can get an amazing bass for not very much money, well depends I guess on budget. I really like Ibanez, Fender, and Sterling at the 200-500 price point. I personally like a smaller short scale bass, mostly because I don't have giant hands and I'm more guitar player then bass player. @K I made a video you may enjoy, its a demonstration of synth at work.
  21. Sometimes this game is fun, and sometimes it's so fucking frustrating and irritating. I really don't think I like the controls, feels like my character misses grapples, strikes, just does weird shit in general. Or I just get the fucking shit beaten out of me for minutes on end and can't do anything about it.
  22. John Bernthal. Initially found him a bit cheese as Shane but he eventually grew on me as the show wore on. He was probably the best Punisher ever, thought he was excellent in that role. This is tough because I can't think of many actors I initially disliked and then changed my opinion. Bernthal is even a stretch.
  23. God I fucking love rap/hip hop whatever. Its such a beautiful form of music. I hate the shit it gets from some dorks. I mean, you get really really fucking cool music with people that can tell a great story with rhyming, word play, and just whatever comes to mind. I can teach myself a numbercof instruments, but no fucking way can I ever teach myself to rap. That takes serious talent, it takes so much damn talent to be able to come up with the lyrics on the fly in such a creative way.
  24. Took the kids to see Jurassic Park. I've never really rated the Jurassic Park series, but this was fun. Kinda dragged toward the end but a fun movie for the big screen. Also, Chris Pratt is sexy as hell, god damn.
