  1. Spoilers for Episode 8 and theory about how the host uprising will play out:
  2. Spoilers for episode 8:
  3. Spoilers for episode 7:
  4. Big spoilers for episode 07:
  5. Statement from Dennis Ward's Facebook page about the future of Unisonic (the band featuring Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske): So no new Unisonic album before 2019 and the band may or may not be done. I assume no new Helloween or Gamma Ray records as well. That is frustrating. Edit: An official Statement from the Unisonic Facebook page: So they are not done. But still no new album before 2019.

    Tropes

Every time when a scientific achievement is made that could radically alter humanity or some kind of ancient magical artifact is found that could grant us unimaginable powers there is some character or some faction that tries to destroy that thing because "humanity isn't ready for this yet" or" the potential for this to be abused is too big". That annoys me greatly. Who the fuck are you to decide that for the rest of humanity? They did that in the latest Tomb Raider game.
  7. It's about time this show get's his own thread. I haven't been that intrigued by a tv show in a while. Even Game Of Thrones didn't manage to have me that on edge for new episodes as this show has. Also great acting all around. Especially Anthony Hopkins is absolutely killing it. Big spoilers for episode 7: Spoilers for episode 6 and speculations:
  8. Bought it as well b mainly based on the glowing review by Jim Sterling. Haven't played for that long and I already enjoy it much more than part 1. Marcus is so much bette than Aiden "Iconic Hat" Pierce was as a protagonist.
  9. I'm curious to see if Helloween will play songs from "Chameleon" and Pink Bubble Go Ape" during the tour. I would love to hear "Kids Of The Century", "When The Sinner", "Someone's Crying" or even "Windmill" live. I think fans will be more receptive to these songs now than they were 20 years ago.
  10. It's happening! After about 28 years since guitarist Kai Hansen left them and 23 years after Michael KIske left them Helloween will reunite with those 2 members for the "Pumpkins United" World Tour in 2017 and 2018. That doesn't mean that the current members are gone. Guitarist Sascha Gerstner and vocalist Andi Deris are still part of Helloween. The band will play a best-off set spanning their entire career from 1984 until today. From the band's homepage: Source: Pumpkins-United.Helloween.org So unfortunately no Uli Kusch or Roland Grapow. Unless they are the "secret surprises" the band is talking about.
  11. That's what I do. Not intentionally do. I trie to using stealth but at some point I make a mistake, get detected, say to myslef "Fuck it, I'm not re-starting this level/mission" and then go in all guns blazing.
  12. Watch Dogs wasn't bad. For what it was it was an okay open world game. The problem was that I had fully bought into the hype and had very high expectations that weren't met when i finally got to play the game.
  13. I got Watch Dogs as the first game for my PS4 and was really diappointed. And while the trailers for this make it look much more interesting than part 1 I'm gonna wait until the reviews come out to make a descision.
  14. In September they announced that PS4 players wouldn't get mods at all because Sony wouldn't approve user mods the way they are supposed to work. However Sony seems to have changed their minds about that. Skyrim SE already has mod support and Fallout 4 will be getting it at a later, yet unannounced date.
  15. Source: Blabbermouth.net So it's the same song & dance as always. Some bandmember says that they are working on new material while Serj denies it or at least plays it down.
  16. After the dumpster fire of an election that just went down here is something that managed to put me in a goo mood at least temporarily:
  17. I wish that HBO would just drop the rest of this season of Westworld Netflix-style. I haven't been intrigued by a TV show like this since Breaking Bad and the week-long break between episodes is killing me. About the last episode (Spoilers for the most recent episode: Also Anthony Hopkins should get all the Awards all the time.
  18. We're talking about Bellator here. They also put on the Dada 5000/Kimbo Slice fight and 49-year-old Royce Gracie V 52-year-old Ken Shamrock earlier this year. Even someone with only very superficial MMA knowledge like me knows that they'll put on any freak show fight as long as it gets people to tune in.
  19. Doctors are not yet able to diagnose CTE in a living person. As far as I know they can look at the symptoms and make a relatively accurate guess but they can't 100% confirm it until the patient dies and they can take a look at his/hers brain.
  20. But the outcome wasn't taken out of your hands. You still get the chance to shoot some of the guys before you die. You get one last dead-eye There are just to many of the guys there for you to realistically take down without taking cover. You are in a situation where there can be no good outcome. I get why you don't like the ending. It's unsatisfying and a downer. But that doesn't mean it's bad. It's a downer by desing. I'm supposed to be sad and angry after experiencing it. And it's not just a downer for the sake of being a downer. The whole thing makes perfect narrative sense. The game is building up to that moment. Whereas in Fallout 3 they tried to do the same thing but failed because in that game the entire situation is completely avoidable and kinda came out of nowhere. But you're forced to sacrifice yourself anyway even if you decide to play the game as the most despicable person in the entire wasteland. Now that is what I would call a bad ending.
  21. I usually hate those endings in which the main character sacrifices himself as well. Especially in RPGs where you spent hours upon hours of building up your character only to see them die in the end. The worst offender in that regard has to be the original ending of Fallout 3. Because in that game there was no reason for the hero to sacrifice himself if he had a certain companion with him who is invulnerable to radiation. But the ending of RDR is so well done that it really didn't bother me.
  22. I honestly thought the ending was one of the best things about this game:
  23. Did you buy the NXT edition? If so you should be able to get Nakamura, Jax and Crews immediately. If not you'll still be able to purchase them later. They haven't announced the date it will be made purchasable yet. And they are not part of the Season pass and the season pass is not included with the NXT edition. As for the future stars pack they haven't announced release dates for it yet.
  24. Thanks again for all these recommendations! I'll make sure to look into these bands. Another question: Were MCR fans disappointed by the "Danger Days..." album when it was originally released in 2010? I enjoy the record (although not as much as "Three Cheers..." and "The Black Parade") but based on my experience with Metal bands changing their sound I can imagine they ruffled some feathers with the stylistic changes they made. Especially after making their fams wait for 4 years. Or are Emo fans more open to stylistic changes than metalheads?
  25. I never saw that movie. Only the Nostalgia Critic review of it. And that was ages ago. Can't remember if that was an origin story.
